After five long months of being on hold due to the writer’s strike, the sketch comedy show returned on Saturday night with show alum Pete Davidson in the hosting seat — and boy, did he have a full plate. Buckle up, Perezcious readers!

The 29-year-old started off the season premiere with a nearly two-minute cold open about the devastating Hamas attacks in Israel, and how “in a lot of ways,” he’s a “good person to talk about it” after suffering his own personal tragedy at the hands of a terrorist attack:

“This week we saw the horrible images and stories from Israel and Gaza, and I know what you’re thinking, ‘Who better to comment on it than Pete Davidson?’”

He continued:

“When I was 7-years-old, my dad was killed in a terrorist attack. So, I know something about what that’s like. I saw so many terrible pictures this week of children suffering — Israeli children and Palestinian children, and it took me back to a really horrible, horrible place. No one in this world deserves to suffer like that, especially not kids.”

The comedian went on to explain that in the wake of his father’s death on 9/11, he unexpectedly stumbled upon comedy, which ultimately helped get him through it — a lesson he wanted to impart as the host of a comedy show during a truly tragic time:

“Sometimes, comedy is really the only way forward through tragedy. My heart is with everyone whose lives have been destroyed this week. But tonight I’m going to do what I’ve always done in the face of tragedy, and that’s try to be funny. Remember, I said try. And live from New York, it’s Saturday night.”

Now, we can surely all agree on the excitement over Ice Spice performing as a musical guest on the opener, but she definitely wasn’t the only celeb who brought a bit of starpower to the show. Introducing the Pretty Girl singer for her second performance of the night was none other than Taylor Swift! Yes, you’re reading that right, Swifties! Ch-ch-check out her surprise cameo (below):

We know what you’re thinking: the only thing that could have made the show AND Taylor’s surprise appearance better would have been a cameo from her beau Travis Kelce. We love that he can laugh at himself! As Perezcious readers know, fans, and the athlete himself, recently pushed back on the NFL’s focus on Taylor in their coverage — but this certainly ain’t helping  to simmer the hype!

Elsewhere in the episode, Pete took center stage for a pitch-perfect parody of Barbie’s original song, I’m Just Ken, aptly titled, I’m Just Pete. ICYMI, Britney Spears went to New York City earlier this week and met up two of the hottest stars ever out of Colombia, Maluma and J Balvin for a sushi dinner. A source told Page Six the two guys saw Brit at the celebrity hotspot Zero Bond and invited the 41-year-old singer and her friends over to join them:

“The guys flagged her down, and she and her group joined them. Everyone was in good spirits. Britney was all smiles and so happy to be back in New York for the first time in a while.”

That sounds so fun! Just some pop stars doing an impromptu collab on some spicy tuna! The funny thing is, it turns out Britney may not have had any idea who J Balvin and Maluma were when the pair asked her to hang out with them!

The pop star took to Instagram to share some videos of her trip to New York City, which included a snapshot of her with the two singers. She then revealed in the caption that she had no clue who they were, saying:

“Quick trip to NY … I had no idea who these boys were at this restaurant”

Although Britney did not clarify if she was joking, she did tag both J Balvin and Maluma in the post. So if she didn’t know before, she did by a few sakis in! However, if the winky faces in the post are a hint, she very well could be messing with fans! LOLz!

But considering the Circus songstress didn’t even know who Pete Davidson and Scott Disick were at one point, would anyone be surprised if she wasn’t familiar with the reggaeton artists? Lolz!

While appearing on Kelly Ripa‘s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast this week, the 48-year-old television personality recalled the hilarious bathroom mishap story, saying:

“I was in the powder room, the toilet was contemporary, and [it’s an] all black toilet.”

At first, the American Idol host was nervous there’d be cameras in the restroom since Kris tends to keep them in the “common areas” of her house. But we guess Ryan wasn’t too concerned about being recorded doing his business — at least, that was until his accident. He continued:

“So I was there, and I rushed over and did what I needed to do, and found that toilet paper was put where it needed to be put and the water level began to rise, and I clogged the toilet.”

Oh no!!! Immediately, Ryan “panicked” when he noticed the water had “overflowed up to the seat level.” Thankfully, the problem eventually fixed itself, and he snuck out like nothing happened:

“Then it began to settle down, but I quickly got out.”

But that wasn’t the full story, according to Kelly! The 53-year-old told listeners Ryan actually had to “retrieve” what he “put in [the toilet]!” OMG! Her co-host then asked if there was a “ladle involved,” to which Ryan fired back:

“It wasn’t a ladle! It was the toilet ring cleaner that I used. There was a utensil that was convenient. It wasn’t a ladle. You think I’m walking around with my Swiss Army Knife carrying around my ladle? It was the toilet ring cleaner!”

This must have been SO embarrassing for Ryan! But as Kelly pointed out, “everybody’s had that moment in their lives.” Yeah… maybe… but we’ll never admit to it! Ha!!

Jimmy Fallon queried the 29-year-old about his upcoming hosting gig for this weekend’s Saturday Night Live season debut:

“I know your mom is one of your biggest supporters, and I’ve seen her on the show. Is she coming [to SNL]?”

Pete replied that she WILL be there (yay!), and then turned the convo to his matchmaking idea for Amy:

“She’s very excited. She actually has been on the show almost as many times as I have. Like, she’s always ready. I’m really excited just because I’m trying to find my mom someone to date.”

Wait, what?! The Meet Cute star added:

“She hasn’t been with anybody in, like, 23 years. And she’s a good catch.”

Awww! Shooting his shot on behalf of momma Davidson, Pete asked Jimmy:

“Do you know anyone?”

Then, he turned to the audience and implored them to help:

“I’ve been trying to find someone nice for my mom.”

The 49-year-old late-night host tried to quiz Pete on what kind of man Amy might be looking for, but the stand-up star was no help on that front:

“We never talk about that stuff, but I really just want someone to take care of her and get her off of my hands.”

Of course, the timing of this chat about Amy is, uh, interesting. A cynic might wonder if it’s a direct response to the bombshell report that came out on Tuesday afternoon claiming the comedian’s own team was prepping for cancellation amid allegations of his directing incredibly offensive language at women. But you have to remember, The Tonight Show isn’t live! They film WAY early in the day to have time to edit, so that report wouldn’t even have come out yet! Just a coincidence, we guess. Part of the whole package that is Pete.

During Kendall Jenner’s recent visit to Ohio for the 2023 Forbes Under 30 Summit, the 27-year-old model took a moment to film and upload a hilarious new video for TikTok on Tuesday. Of what? She recreated an iconic scene from Mean Girls. You probably wonder which one it is since the film has so many big moments!

While seemingly outside of the Ohio State University campus, Kendall, wearing sunnies and the school’s red pullover hoodie, mouthed the words of the speech:

Brody and his fiancée Tia Blanco welcomed their baby girl Honey in August, and have been documenting the journey on their shared channel, Brody & Tia. Last week, the reality star took YouTube viewers with him into the kitchen as he attempted to make himself and Tia a delicious caffeinated beverage — but he quickly ran into a problem:

“Alright, so I just came out to make us both some coffee and we are out of almond milk.”

Damn, we hate it when that happens! However, the 40-year-old thought quickly, telling fans he “did find one thing” — before revealing a bag labeled “breast milk.”

OMG!

He speculated over the prospect of adding it to his coffee, thinking out loud:

“Now I hear great things about breast milk. I hear it’s very nutritious, I hear it’s very delicious. I think it will do.”

But, like a good partner and father, he first went to check with a sleepy Tia to make sure she thought it was okay — and not, you know, disgusting:

“Sorry to disturb you but we’re out of almond milk. Do you mind if we use the breast milk that I put in the fridge last night?”

She quickly approved the idea, remarking that “it will probably be really good” for him. So, Brody returned to the kitchen, putting together a “breast milk latte.” LOLz!

Just so you know, human breast milk is consumable for adults. But importantly, per the National Institute of Health, it’s not the “superfood” that’s become a trend the past few years. But it is digestible just fine, provided it comes from a trusted source. Human breast milk purchased online (including in ice cream they sell now!) is not pasteurized, so there’s an extra risk of bacterial or viral infection. Brody getting it from Tia should obviously be fine. Just you know, maybe off-putting? It’s up to you!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last month, and the milestone has the model reflecting on her OG nuptials to the musician!

The lovebirds tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Lake Como, Italy back in 2013. The problem came when the duo was saying their vows and the Cravings cookbook author let one slip! She recalled in a chat with People on Thursday:

“Something funny that happened during our vows, John’s uncle was the pastor, and he was officiating our wedding, and I dropped the ring. I, of course, said ‘oh, s**t,’ into the mic, and he was just a little taken aback by it. He was like, ‘That’s Chrissy.’”

LOLz!

Not the holiest of words! But, TBH, we can think of worse!

Despite the fumble, the mother of four thinks it’s “a cherished memory” of the big day, and it’s not something she regrets!

When she looks back on her special day, the one thing she wishes she’d done differently is dance more! Recalling how Stevie Wonder performed Ribbon in the Sky for the newlywed’s first dance, Chrissy reflected:

“He performed our first dance, but I didn’t have a first dance. I really wasn’t dancing because I was just — I’m too nervous to dance in front of people. […] That’s more of a regret of mine than a cherished memory, that I didn’t really have a first dance.”

Aw! We hope she got to right this wrong last month when she hosted a vow renewal. TMZ reported they planned to have a weekend-long celebration with a “pretty spectacular” guest list of A-listers. While the couple hasn’t revealed much, it sounds like it super fun and very romantic! Love it!

She then had a brief convo with an unknown dude, teasingly saying with a sultry tone of voice:

“Hi, this is Samantha. What’s your name? Where do you live? I stay in Ventura County.”

The model quickly ended the call before declaring:
