As Perezcious readers know, the pair have collaborated on multiple songs over the years before they were romantically linked for a short time in 2016. That same year, Drake professed his love to Rihanna during the MTV Video Music Awards. But it sounds like he doesn’t have any love for her anymore!

On Friday, the 36-year-old rapper dropped the track Fear of Heights from his new album For All the Dogs. And fans quickly read between the lines to see the shady lyrics were about RiRi! He raps on the song:

“Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you? / That could never be / Gyal can’t ruin me / Better him than me / Better it’s not me.”

If these lines didn’t convince you this was a Rihanna diss track, don’t worry! Any doubt will be erased when you read this next part. Referencing her album Anti and the song Sex With Me, he added:

“I’m anti, I’m anti / Yeah, and the sex was average with you / Yeah, I’m anti ’cause I had it with you … / And I had way badder bitches than you, TBH.”

The “R” name is definitely in line with both of his famous parents names (Rocky’s birth name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers) AND his big brother, RZA Athelston Mayers, whose name was finally revealed in May — nearly one full year after he was born.

We’re sure glad we didn’t have to wait that long this time around, too!

The boy’s name and the favoring of the letter “R” could also be in reference to his dad’s latest song release of the same name, Riot, which debuted in July and features Pharrell Williams.

We also learned from the birth certificate that the celeb kid was actually welcomed into the world on August 1 — two days earlier than what insiders initially told TMZ.

He was born at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m. by OB-GYN Thais Aliabadi, who’s been a trusted physician by the Kardashian crew among others. Very cool!

Her cousin Tanella Alleyne suddenly passed away at the age of 28. According to Loop Barbados News, family and friends gathered at Barbados’ St. George Parish Church on Monday to lay her to rest. It is unclear if the 35-year-old singer was in attendance.

During the service, Rihanna’s powerful ballad Lift Me Up played. Tanella’s adoptive mom, Julie-Ann Bryan, gave a eulogy for her daughter, remembering her as someone who “lived a life of gratitude with an outrageous amount of attitude, sprinkled heavily with confidence.” She continued:

“There was something special about Nella. She was bold and courageous. Our love for each other was lit.”

While an official cause of death is unknown at this time, Julie told the congregation that Tanella got a CT scan on August 6, and doctors discovered “a big black mass.” No other information was given then. Tanella’s death comes years after she tragically lost her twin sister Taneisha when they were only 14 years old. She also lost her brother Tavon six years ago after he was shot on Boxing Day in 2017.

Despite the devastating circumstances, her adoptive mother expressed her gratitude during the funeral for having the chance to love “Taneisha for 14 years and Tanella for 28 years, till He called them home.” We cannot imagine what this mom must be going through right now after losing both her children so young. Our hearts break for her.

We’re keeping Rihanna and her family in our thoughts as they mourn this loss.

Now, those lyrics may seem pretty vague with no context! But fans think they know exactly who the Fashion Killa rapper is dissing — his lady’s ex.

In the comments, social media users gave their take on the situation:

Since then, the pair have had a son named RZA together and have another child on the way — so fans are speculating the “stealing” lyrics was the Praise The Lord rapper talking about taking RiRi!

The evidence just keeps going, though, as earlier this year A$AP called out the Sicko Mode rapper for copying his style on an episode of REVOLT‘s Drink Champs. In the episode from May, host N.O.R.E. said:

“Travis Scott stole his whole style from A$AP Rocky.”

To which the Am I Dreaming rapper agreed wholeheartedly, and said:

“I saw similarities, for sure. I saw that he was inspired and s**t like that, but that’s what we in it for … Imitation is the best form of flattery. If people wasn’t trying to imitate you, then you’re doing something wrong.”

The musicians’ rumored relationship has been put on blast a ton over the last few weeks as fans have been digging into The 1975 frontman’s past only to discover a series of disturbing behaviors and commentary. As one example, he was seen seemingly doing a Nazi salute on stage in January amid claims he’s racist, antisemitic, and anti-Muslim.

Then in February, he sat down for a lengthy and very controversial conversation on his friend’s podcast, The Adam Friedland Show. It was deemed so inappropriate, Spotify and Apple Music removed it from their platforms! During the episode, they make racially-charged digs at Ice Spice, mock a variety of accents, and Matty jokes about masturbating to Black women being “brutalized” on a hardcore porn website known as Ghetto Gaggers. Also, back in 2016 when there were rumors he was dating the singer-songwriter, the Chocolate crooner said it’d be “emasculating” to be TayTay’s boyfriend.

All of this has led Swifties to start the #SpeakUpNow campaign begging the Anti-Hero artist to speak up against the harmful things her rumored new boyfriend has said and done. She’s also been branded “another complicit white woman” causing fans to cancel their preorders of her upcoming album and sell their once-coveted tickets to The Eras Tour! Damn!

It’s bad enough to hear the things Matty’s said about her, but now his friends are getting dragged into the controversy for speaking just as cruelly — if not more — about Taylor and her mother!

Recently, the English artist was pictured wearing merch from Red Scare, a cultural commentary podcast hosted by Dasha Nekrasova and Anna Khachiyan. Both women are critics of liberalism, feminism, and the “woke” movement. Their podcast guests have included the likes of Alex Jones, Steve Bannon, and Ann Coulter. Also, Matty is good friends with Dasha, who used to date Adam Friedland, and they were seen together in March, per Deux Moi.

So, with this in mind, fans were shocked when they heard a 2020 episode of Red Scare titled Make Americana Great Again, in which the hosts discussed the performer’s documentary, Miss Americana. Amid the 30-minute rant, the women called the doc “very masterful propaganda” and called Taylor “literally the walking, talking embodiment of liberalism in that she’s a person who cannot acknowledge their capacity for monstrousness or evil, which is the source of all their problems.” Their attention then turned to a portion of the film in which Taylor expresses concern about then-president Donald Trump calling her out if she tweeted about her democratic views. Anna teased:

“She was like: ‘The president’s gonna come for me, he is going to throw me in one of those dreamer detention camps. He’s gonna separate me from my Miss Piggy mother!’”

WTF!

Did they really just call Andrea Swift “Miss Piggy”?! What the F**K! The hosts then praised Trump for how “well” he handled Taylor’s tweet, laughing:

“You come for the king you better not miss, Taylor.”

Elsewhere, they shared a “conspiracy theory” that Taylor’s dad Scott Swift is a Trump supporter, “and she’s probably also secretly a Trump supporter.” Things then got gross as Anna and Dasha revealed they “gasped” in disgust when Taylor revealed her current clothes size while opening up about suffering from an eating disorder. Dasha argued:

“I don’t think she was ever anorexic, I don’t buy it.”

Anna agreed, adding, “I kind of don’t, either.” They went on to guess the Grammy winner’s metabolism “caught up with her” and that the same thing happened to Rihanna in her late 20s, but “Rihanna pulls it off better.” Even more shockingly, they then said she looked her best when she was “extremely underweight” and speculated she got “breast implants and ass injections” to “balance out” her body.

Moving to another controversial topic, the conservatives put Taylor on blast for “ruining the life of some totally inconsequential DJ” while discussing her 2017 sexual assault trial against David Mueller. A jury ruled in the pop star’s favor after the former DJ filed a defamation case against her because she accused him of reaching under her skirt and grabbing her ass during a 2013 meet-and-greet.

Continuing to make fun of her sex appeal, the women suggested maybe Taylor “doesn’t want to f**k,” noting:

“She has whatever the opposite of a libido is.”

They also believed Taylor “essentially” wants to call Kanye West “the N-word” while arguing her feminism is “a direct response to Black masculinity.” Before ending the podcast, they even called the All Too Well star a “Nazi” who is “incredibly privileged and incredibly monstrous.”

Mind you, this isn’t even the only resurfaced podcast that’s concerned fans! Swifties also discovered Matty’s talk on The Green Room in 2020 in which he criticized his now-girlfriend’s performative activism, saying:

While this isn’t exactly a new critique for the Midnights creative, it’s still surprising to see her own love interest speak so poorly of her! Taking to Reddit to express their frustrations over this relationship, fans said of the Red Scare podcast:

In a clip posted to The Neighborhood Talk on Instagram Monday, you can hear the 34-year-old checking nightclub goers who took their physical altercation a little too close to the Diamonds singer, who was apparently sitting in the VIP section of said nightclub, for comfort. Rocky can be heard firmly scolding them:

“Y’all n***** act like gentlemen right now, you heard? I got my lady here, y’all n***** calm that s**t down. Don’t be in the section doing all that s**t. Calm that s**t down, y’all act like gentlemen when y’all in our presence.”

You tell ‘em, Rocky! The whole situation is honestly pretty wild all around — for those guys to be acting out like that as grown men is bad enough in and of itself, but to let it even come close to a pregnant woman is just absolutely unacceptable!

It’s unclear exactly what started the fight, or if the expecting parents knew the individuals involved, but IG users quickly made their opinions known in the comments, celebrating Rocky’s quick action:

“People be thinking you just gotta protect your lover from violence against them but it’s very CLEAR you need to protect your lover from anything that can disrupt their peace in general.”

“This is dope energy from a person who respects their partner.”
