On Tuesday Meghan and Prince Harry held a panel discussion at the first Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit titled “Mental Wellness in a Digital Age” — a World Mental Health Day event hosted by Project Healthy Minds. the Sussexes opened up to the NYC crowd about their kiddos Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The conversation about the little ones began a bit heavier than expected. Moderator Carson Daly asked the couple about the secret work they’ve been doing with tech companies and parents who have lost children due to online bullying and other consequences of social media. Some of these bereaved parents also spoke at the event. The Suits alum revealed, via People:

“A year ago we met some of the families and at the time, it was impossible not to be in tears hearing their stories because it’s just that devastating.”

Although she knows her kids are still “really young,” she and Harry realize social media “isn’t going away” and will be something they’ll have to tackle eventually.

Taking this super seriously, the Spare author shared:

“I think for us, for myself and my wife, with kids growing up in a digital age, the priority here is to again turn pain into purpose and provide as much support as well as a spotlight and a platform for these parents to come together, to heal, to grieve and to also collectively focus on solutions so that no other family anywhere has to go through what they’ve been through.”

It was at the end of the panel that the Today co-host wondered if the actress’ POV on the topic has changed now that she is not only “a kick-ass woman, but as a mom.” She gushed while gesturing to her hubby:

“Being a mom is the most important thing in my entire life — outside, of course, being a wife to this one.”

Awww!

Because of the immense love she has for her children, the Archetypes host finds herself scared as the 4-year-old and 2-year-old grow up, she expressed:

“But I will say I feel fortunate that our children are at an age, again quite young, so this isn’t in our immediate future, but I also feel frightened at how it’s continuing to change and this will be in front of us. They say being a parent, the days are long but the years are short, so it worries me, but I’m also given a lot of hope and energy by the progress we’ve made in the past year being able to have these incredible parents, these survivors of these experiences, share their stories and the more information gathering we’re able to do, the more we can move the needle a little bit.”

We hope she doesn’t get too freaked out and just enjoys this phase of her life! After all, we don’t think Archie and Lili will be getting on social media anytime soon! After her husband Prince Harry‘s memoir Spar, hit shelves at the start of the year, his wife has been itching for a turn to tell her story. And now, it’s seemingly coming sooner than you might expect! Royal author Tom Bower broke the news last month while chatting with GB News. As Meghan prepares to reenter Hollywood, he mused:

“My view is that she is writing her memoirs and it will be a huge money-spinner.”

First Harry, now Meg?? They’re really not done s**tting on the royal family! LOLz!

TBH, we’re not surprised. Harry may have touched on some of the mistreatment his wife faced at the hands of her in-laws, but we’re sure the Suits alum has a LOT more to get off her chest! Finally telling her story on her own terms would be a classic next step — and it doesn’t hurt that her memoir is expected to be even BIGGER than Spare!

Yes, you read that right! Royal biographer Angela Levin predicted this on Sky News Australia on Wednesday. She suggested the upcoming memoir — which Meghan has been saying she’s working on “for months” now — would be “more powerful” than the Duke of Sussex’s and include “moans and groans about how badly she was treated as a royal.” But it may also be “full [of] untruths.”

Oof…

Obviously, this isn’t what the royal family wants to hear, and they are FREAKED out! They just got through dealing with Harry’s book, and all the lies they claimed the tell-all contained. A second memoir — this time from the Duchess whom they have some complicated AF history with — is certainly NOT ideal! And, just as we’d expect, they’re not handling these rumors well!!

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told Fabulous on Tuesday this turn of events has led Prince William to become incredibly “frustrated” because it prohibits him from being about to reach out to his little brother. Duncan remarked:

“William’s real headache is that he can’t get in touch with his brother without risking the contents of any conversation they have being made public. It is a real frustration for him and it totally ties him up.”

He continued:

“It isn’t just about Harry promoting his book, the podcasts or the Oprah [Winfrey] chat, but he has revealed some very personal and private family matters, like when they all rallied around the Queen’s bedside (before she died). It’s so far over the mark of what the Royals would consider acceptable and it just makes it impossible for William to trust his brother or make any move towards (a reconciliation).”

Because of the allegations Harry has levied against William, Duncan believes the brothers’ bond is irreparable:

“It’s one thing having a row with your sibling, it’s not uncommon in any family, but in this particular context, it is a constant betrayal. William can’t make that first move without Harry betraying him and breaking his confidence. There is just nothing between them anymore. William didn’t wish his brother a happy birthday publicly, where in previous years he has. It’s certainly a signal that William doesn’t want to talk about his brother, let alone to him.”

Jeez. Many insiders have been saying the same for quite some time, so we don’t see things changing soon, and definitely not if Meghan drops a memoir!

“[Prince] Harry and Meghan have been busy with Invictus Games recently, but Meghan is still planning her Hollywood reinvention. Meghan has a new team around her, and they’ve been strategizing about what mediums will have the most impact.”

The Archetypes host signed with WME earlier this year — but with a vision for producing content, not starring in it. According to the latest insider, the 42-year-old wants her work “to be rooted in giving back” and “philanthropy.”

It seems she will be sticking to what she believes is working. The Suits alum is in talks with documentary directors and fashion houses, the source dished:

She and Harry have released three docs via their Archewell Productions company for Netflix (Live To Lead, Harry & Meghan, and Heart of Invictus). She better come up with a compelling subject matter for her next series though! Otherwise, her viewers might get sick of all the similar content!

The mother of two has also reportedly secured an Instagram account, which could help her bring in the big bucks. She has yet to post anything, though, and the profile pic remains a photo of pink flowers at this point. There have long been rumors she might restart her lifestyle blog The Tig, too, and she’s reportedly working hard to snag a deal with a luxury fashion brand. Plus, the actress might try to restart her failed podcast, but it’s interesting the source didn’t mention that! It clearly wasn’t the best medium for her. LOLz!

Kensington Palace revealed this week that the Prince and Princess of Wales are working with a charity and radio station to host a mental health forum for young people in Birmingham, UK on Tuesday, October 10. The event, Exploring our Emotional Worlds, will give youth a place “to talk about the specific mental health challenges their generation faces, explore what more they could do to understand and manage their emotions and discuss the solutions that could support them to better look after their own and each other’s mental wellbeing.”

But here’s where it gets inneresting… Their announcement came shortly after Meghan and Harry shared their own plans about hosting a summit in New York City on Tuesday called The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age! The summit will give a space for families committed to making a safer place online for kids and teenagers, and it will feature parents who tragically lost someone due to social media use.

Given the timing, one could assume this was shady to host similar events amid their feud. But in all seriousness, both couples are giving a space to have conversations about an important topic. And it’s something the foursome have all been passionate about for years in their own ways. They’ve been working on tackling mental health since 2016 when Harry, William, and Catherine launched Heads Together. So we highly doubt this was a dig at each other.

No, they weren’t meeting up because they were old friends. The couples reportedly met for the first time in the most innocent, old fashioned way! As you may recall, longtime US Senator Dianne Feinstein died on Friday. The Democrat from California had served the Golden State in the federal governing body for years before her passing at age 90. And since her death came in the middle of an active term, she now has to be replaced in the body — which, as rules dictate, must be done by California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Newsom has openly said he intends to replace Feinstein in the Senate with a Black woman. Seeking better (and deserved) representation in that way, the Governor has been pretty clear about his intentions:

But it also has political insiders wondering: could Meghan Markle be the Black woman he chooses?!

Over the weekend, DailyMail.com reported that Meghan being appointed to the Senate was “not an impossibility.” That outlet claimed “within minutes” of Feinstein’s death on Friday, political insiders and connected campaign surrogate “phones lit up” with speculation that Prince Harry‘s wife could be the one appointed. One insider told that news org:

“Meghan is definitely a long-shot but in the craziness that is US politics these days it’s not an impossibility. Crazier things have happened.”

Well, that’s certainly true…

And the outlet went on! For one, Meghan has been “networking among senior Democrats” as a way to “fuel her political ambitions” in the future. Those ambitions reportedly even include becoming President one day. Yes, really!

It’s not just idle talk, either. She and Prince Harry “held a virtual hour-long meeting” with Gov. Newsom over the weekend about Feinstein’s now-open Senate seat and other political ambitions, per the Mail on Sunday.

While appointing Meghan to the US Senate might seem pretty random compared to all the politically-connected people vying for the job, an insider explained to the outlet that Newsom’s options are actually more limited than one might think in putting up a caretaker for that Senate seat to only hold the gig for the final 13 months of the term:

“The problem he now faces is that all the best candidates have already announced they will be running for Feinstein’s seat in November 2024, the next election. Governor Newsom cannot elect any of those candidates to the position now as it would be seen as a huge, and very unfair, advantage. If he puts any of the very good black women candidates in the job now he will be accused of favoritism. So he needs to find a woman of color who can do the job for 13 months and will agree to not stand against any of the seasoned politicians who have already thrown their hats into the ring. There are not that many women who fit the bill. Which is why Meghan’s name is being bandied about.”

Tough spot!

And the fact that Meghan is pals with feminist Gloria Steinem — who is a major power player among Democrats — has only helped her cause. A close friend of Steinem’s explained their dynamic to the Mail on Sunday, as well:

“Gloria has been introducing Meghan to pivotal people within the party. Meghan is interested in politics more than anything else. That’s where she believes her power is but she has had to focus on making money.”

Damn!

Still, other Democrats aren’t as convinced. One senior source inside the party straight-up said:

“I don’t think you can take Meghan seriously.”

Unfortunately for the Suits alum, Newsom is NOT picking her for the Senate role. On Monday morning, news broke that Gov. Newsom will appoint Laphonza Butler to Feinstein’s seat. Butler will make history as the first Black lesbian to openly serve in the US Senate when she takes her oath — which will likely come Wednesday, and be administered by Vice President Kamala Harris. FYI, Butler is a strategist for the Dems and the current president of the political action committee EMILY’s List.

So, congratulations to her! And sorry to Meghan!

After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrapped up their trip to Germany for the Invictus Games earlier this month, they traveled to Portugal to stay at Princess Eugenie‘s holiday home!

According to local magazine Nova Gente, the pair made sure their trip was a “mega-secret ‘operation'” so they could enjoy some downtime. The outlet claimed after finishing with the games on the 16th, they enjoyed the mini-vacation (without their kiddos) before flying home back to Heathrow on the 20th. Ultimately, they landed in Cali in time for several events last weekend.

We bet a little couple time was good for them amid all the rumors that have been swirling about their marriage!

It’s unclear if Eugenie or her husband Jack Brooksbank were around for the trip or if they just lent their property, but a well-placed Portuguese source for The US Sun on Thursday noted:

“The reports coming out of Portugal are accurate.”

Eugenie and Jack have a gorgeous home in Melides, a village in a region known as the “Hamptons of Western Europe.” It’s about 80 miles south of Lisbon on the Alentejo coast and near the exclusive CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, where Jack works in marketing and sales. Prince Andrew‘s daughter and her growing family are believed to split their time about 50-50 between the beachy getaway and England. It wouldn’t surprise us if they were around for a hang with their pals! A nice double date with one of the only royal family couples still on speaking terms with the Sussexes…

Then again, some alone time could be huge, too! For parents of small kids, it’s so hard to get time for romance! But maybe there was some business mixed in with the pleasure?

Nova Gente speculated the Archewell founders might be eying a property in the luxurious community so they can be close to Harry’s cousin, whom they have remained tight with despite his feud with the rest of the family. While it’s hard to imagine them moving to Portugal full time after just getting settled in SoCal, maybe they’d want a European vacation home?! They no longer have housing in London, so it could come in handy if they want a place to go overseas.

A palace insider opened up about the Prince and Princess of Wales’ current state of affairs (poor choice of words?) — and it sounds like they are LOVING being the most popular royals!! The source, who chatted with Us Weekly on Wednesday, insisted they “are more in sync than ever,” elaborating:

“They cherish what they have with each other. For them, family comes first, and it always will.”

Dealing with Queen Elizabeth II‘s loss helped pull them together as “her death hit them extremely hard” and, “in many ways, it’s only now really sinking in that she’s gone.” Aw! The family just honored the 1-year anniversary of her death earlier this month, so we’re sure that brought up a lot of unresolved feelings.

Everyone in their inner circle also knows the couple has been through their fair share of challenges this year, the confidant continued:

Despite all the drama, King Charles III and Queen Camilla have never doubted the duo’s abilities and have entrusted them to help with the transition of the monarchy, including by bestowing on them new titles and responsibilities, the source added:

“They want to keep working with Charles and Camilla and other members of The Firm to help lead the royal family into a more modern direction.”

And just so we’re very clear, they may have gone through heartbreak and family turmoil this year, but the source never suggested their marriage has struggled. In fact, it sounds like their love has only gotten stronger! They expressed:

“They’re in awe of each other. William tells anyone who will listen that he couldn’t do it without Kate, and she echoes that right back.”

Seems like any whispers of cheating have completely dissipated along with their respect for Prince Harry!

These days, the lovebirds are busy helping their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, get settled back at Lambrook School, where they are “adapting well and making new friends.” The family moved out of the city last year because “Adelaide feels like a more serene environment for them.”

While they are hands-on parents, The Firm source made sure to note they are “not overbearing.” That said, they’re not going to let the little royals run amuck without any rules! The kids are expected to do chores (like walking the dog and washing dishes) and have restrictions around electronic time. The confidant explained:

“William and Kate are determined to raise the kids in as normal an environment as possible.”

A very hard task for them!

Speaking of family…

We’d be crazy to give such a lengthy update on William’s family life without talking about THAT family member. Per the insider, there’s been no progress between William and his little brother:

“William hasn’t spoken to Harry in a long time. The standoff is mutual, and it doesn’t look like it will end anytime soon.”

As we’ve heard time and time again, Spare really “tipped him over the edge” and “William is furious over all the things Harry’s said about him.” Fair!

If it wasn’t already obvious, peace talks are off the table, too:

“Even if Harry were to come crawling back with an apology, it’s hard to imagine William forgiving and forgetting. The only silver lining of this situation is that it’s motivated William to keep his family unit very firmly intact.”

Meghan Markle‘s father has called out his daughter and her husband Prince Harry once again for their “cruel” decision to ban him from meeting his grandkids! Damn!

In an interview with Good Morning Britain on Monday morning, Thomas, who is recovering from a stroke that left him unable to speak, told the hosts he hasn’t seen Meghan and Harry “in five years” — and still hasn’t “seen [his] grandkids,” revealing:

“I’m very upset about it as well because this is a cruel thing to do to a grandparent … to deny the right to see their grandchild.”

Well, that’s one way to look at it, and a selfish one at that. What’s most important for the child sometimes means what’s best and healthiest for the parents too. From the looks of it, Thomas has repeatedly overstepped boundaries to the detriment of his daughter and son-in-law’s mental health and wellbeing. It’s understandable if they have hesitations.

Thomas believes King Charles III hasn’t been allowed to see Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet either, but it hasn’t been confirmed what kind of relationship the monarch has with his son’s children at this time.

Either way, the 79-year-old continued to complain:

“The other thing is I’ve done nothing wrong. There’s nothing that points to say I’m a bad guy. I’m a really loving father and she knows that, and there’s no excuse for treating me this way … no excuse to treat grandparents that way.”

He’s “done nothing wrong.” Hmm. Well, we think the Suits alum would disagree! She and her pops have been estranged since before her royal wedding in 2018 thanks to a staged paparazzi photo shoot and the scandals that followed. No matter how many times Thomas has pushed for reconciliation, he’s never taken accountability for any wrongdoing — and the estrangement has only gotten worse. And it could get even uglier! We mean, if he can’t respect his own daughter’s wishes, how does that bode for the grandchild?

Thomas went on to point out that there’s a law in California that allows grandparents to get a court order forcing parents to let them see their grandkids! At this time, he insisted he’s not going to take legal action, but the very fact he’s dangling this info on live TV feels a bit like a threat — and only proves why one might feel uncomfortable around him!

For his big day, it appears the Duke of Sussex received a ton of love as he went out to dinner with Meghan Markle and friends, and people sang a rendition of Happy Birthday to him during a match for the Invictus Games. The Invictus organizers even sent him some well wishes on social media!

But when it comes to his family members? The royals have been noticeably quiet. In years prior, the royal family posted birthday wishes for Harry on their social media accounts. But when we looked at the royals pages this year, including @RoyalFamily and @KensingtonPalace, there has been zero acknowledgment of the special occasion!

When King Charles was crowned last year, the family seemed to adopt a new rule and saved the birthday tributes for working royal family members and some of their kids. And since Meghan and Harry stepped down from their roles, they were booted from the list! We guess it’s part of Charles’ new slimmed-down royal family directive (though kinda silly since tweets don’t cost a thing).

Also, Harry won’t even get to experience the usual ringing of Westminster Abbey‘s bells, as in years past, because they’ve limited that honor to only William, Charles, Queen Camilla, and Princess Catherine. Damn. Whether or not the Sussexes received a private message from some of his family members on their day remains unknown. However, we bet Prince William said absolutely nothing to his brother today!

Despite the snubs, though, Harry seems to be having a good time this year!
