As Perezcious readers know, the 44-year-old reality star has been very open about her vitro fertilization journey when she and Travis Barker began pursuing that option before their wedding in 2022. Specifically, Kourt has shared with fans how hard the process was on her body.

The treatments put her into “early menopause” and overall “took a toll” on her physically and mentally. It got to the point after months of failed fertility treatments where the couple decided to be “officially done with IVF” and leave it in the universe’s hands moving forward:

“We would love a baby more than anything. Whatever’s meant to be. We have a full, blessed life.”

And it wasn’t until they “stopped forcing the process … it happened,” as she shared in a cover story published on Friday with Vanity Fair Italia! Kourtney confirmed to the outlet that she and Travis conceived their child naturally:

“It arrived when both Travis and I no longer even thought about it, and when I had stopped fertility treatment.”

While online critics may not believe that given her age, Kourtney doesn’t seem to be bothered about the doubt! In fact, she told the outlet that comments “don’t affect” her as she believes this was “God’s plan” for her and Travis:

“To those who make them, I just say: ‘How could you question God’s plan?’ Because that’s how I see this pregnancy.”

Even when Kourtney began the process of trying to get pregnant through IVF, she knew it wasn’t the right option. However, The Kardashians star said she felt pressured to do it and continue with it due to her age. Once she followed her gut and stopped the treatments, though, that’s when things fell into place for the pair:

“The decision to try assisted fertilization was almost a non-choice, in the sense that I was pushed towards [IVF] as if it were the only option. The truth is, I felt like I was doing something that wasn’t right for me. My intuition was telling me that it wasn’t suitable for me — I don’t even take medicine, imagine — that it was working against my body rather than for it. I knew deep down that it wasn’t the right thing. I kept telling Travis: ‘If we’re meant to have a baby, then it’s just going to happen.’ And that’s how it was. When we stopped forcing the process, then it happened.”

Wow!

While Kourtney feels “great” physically, this experience has been very different from her other three pregnancies. The momma explained that she had “many restrictions in the first months,” as a “group of doctors” advised her to refrain from having sex, doing workouts, drinking caffeine, and going on plane trips. Oof. This must have been a rough first couple of months for the king and queen of PDA. LOLz!

Of course, combine this with the “frightening” experience of having emergency fetal surgery, and it’s all a LOT. It must have been such a scary and stressful pregnancy for Kourtney this time around! But we’re glad she’s in a good headspace now. You can see her Vanity Fair Italia cover (below):

After announcing the baby news on her podcast Barely Famous, she told People on Friday that she and her boyfriend Elijah Scott welcomed a son named Rio last year. He joins her sons Issac, 13, with ex Jo Rivera, Lincoln, 9, with ex Javi Marroquin, and Lux, 6, and Creed, 3, with ex Chris Lopez.

While reports came out in February revealing she’d had another child, Kailyn made the conscious choice to try and keep the details private for as long as she could since she wasn’t “ready” for it to be a public matter, she told the mag:

“I wanted to be able to tell my own story on my own terms and kind of share what information I wanted to share instead of being within a contractual obligation or storyline. […] I feel like it was ripped out from under me time and time again. I kind of feel like my hands are tied. People are announcing it for me and so, at this point, I might as well just talk about it. […] At this point, I can at least try to do it my way.”

Ugh. We hate that she feels pressured to share her story.

The couple managed to keep things on the down low for a while, even though their “close circle, our family and our close friends all obviously knew.” They held an intimate baby shower to celebrate Rio’s arrival, which was “incredible” in part because it was “a really great time to kind of disconnect” as guests were asked to leave their phones at home.

Sadly, “a leak from the hospital and things like that” ruined their ability to keep the addition to their family a secret, and the violation is now being handled “internally” by the medical facility. As it should! Addressing this, she said it “was definitely one of the sadder moments” of her life. Oof.

As for Rio, she said he was “a pleasant surprise” since she wasn’t actively trying for a fifth kid:

“As chaotic as it was finding out about being pregnant again, he’s been such an incredible baby that it really was a true light at the end of a really dark year for me. It was rough [last year] with the [Briana DeJesus defamation] lawsuit, the depression that I dealt with and everything else. So, he has been really a joy for all of us.”

Aw! We cannot imagine how stressful that must’ve been, so we’re so glad Rio helped pull her into the light.

Despite her 13 years of parenting, Kailyn insisted she’s still learning day by day, adding:

“Do you ever really become a parenting expert? Because every child is so different and every experience is so different. I definitely would not consider myself an expert, but I’ve been around the block a couple of times with kids. I feel like every experience is so new that I wouldn’t say I’m an expert.”

The former reality star is now focused on embracing this “new chapter” of her life — which doesn’t include the MTV show that rocketed her to fame:

“I’m adjusting accordingly. It’s an adjustment not having cameras around all the time. And it’s weird because it still feels like it’s a part of my life because it wasn’t that far away. It wasn’t. […] I’m trying to just get used to the normalcy and being able to go out and kind of move around and move about freely, run my errands freely, schedule appointments freely. That’s been nice. And I’ll just stay busy with motherhood and the podcast.”

With five kids, motherhood is 100% gonna keep her busy! LOLz!

On TV screens this week, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian appear to be mending fences after a months-long feud, but IRL the drama is just getting started!

According to a source for The US Sun on Wednesday, the sisters have a whole new feud on their hands. And this time, it has nothing to do with Dolce & Gabbana or wedding woes, but… birthdays?!?! The insider spilled the tea:

“It’s Kim’s birthday in a couple of weeks – and then two weeks later it’s Kris [Jenner]’s and also Kendall [Jenner]’s, and Kim has floated the idea of a girls’ birthday trip.”

As for the timeline of things, Kim was born on October 21, with Kendall on November 3 and Kris on November 5. But Kourtney’s b-day isn’t until April, so what’s the problem?? Well, it’s actually a pretty f**king big one!

Kim’s birthday getaway coincides with the potential birth of her sister’s baby with Travis Barker! The confidant explained:

“However, it’s almost Kourtney’s due date and she got wind of the plan from Kris and isn’t happy.”

Understandable! Of course she doesn’t want her momma and sisters on some lavish vacation when she goes into labor! Plus, this goes back to Kourt’s claims that Kim is a “narcissist.” During the Season 4 premiere last month, the sisters were engaged in a fiery phone call in which the Lemme founder argued:

“You cannot stand someone else being the center of attention. You came to my wedding, you couldn’t be happy. You complained from the second you got there until the second you left. Forget about you couldn’t be happy, you couldn’t be happy for me. You couldn’t be happy that I was the center of attention and you weren’t. […] It is all about you. Anything you do, it’s about you and how it looks to the world about you.”

With all that in mind, this seems to be the mother of three’s main frustration when it comes to the timing of this girls’ trip, the source continued:

“Things are already so tense between the two sisters that Kourt took it as Kim trying to ‘steal the attention’ and Kim thinks Kourtney is taking it badly on purpose. The whole thing blew up way out of proportion — they can’t agree on anything at the moment.”

Damn…

Just when we thought we might be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, they found something new to fight about! According to the outlet, this latest fight won’t be featured on TV, but if things are this bad when they start filming again, then we bet it’ll be mentioned. For those who haven’t been keeping up, The Bachelor alum Clayton Echard was sued by an unnamed 33-year-old podcast host in Arizona last month. For what, you may ask? The woman claimed she was pregnant with his twins after they had a one-night stand back in May of this year! When she told Clayton about the pregnancy, he didn’t believe he was the father as they allegedly “only had oral sex.”

The alleged soon-to-be mom then accused him of refusing multiple times to take a paternity test. And when they had one scheduled for August 23, the 30-year-old star never showed up for it. Wow. He has since denied the allegations, even showing receipts of him paying to take a paternity test on September 27. Clayton also accused the woman of making “nearly identical accusations” against “other individuals,” with those cases still being “publicly accessible and active.”

A wild situation, right? But after patiently waiting for the test results to come back, Clayton finally has an answer to this whole ordeal… He is NOT the father after all! He took to Instagram on Friday to share a video of himself ecstatically sharing the big announcement to his followers. Clayton said:

“Listen, it’s Friday and you know what we need on a Friday? We need some good news and who has got the good news today? I got the good news today. What’s that good news, Clayton? The test results came back early, and they said little to no fetal DNA present. Let’s go baby! We knew, I knew that was going to happen, and thankfully five months of torture can finally be put to rest.”

Referencing the allegations he also cheated on his ex-girlfriend Susie Evans last year, Clayton added:

“Two false accusations in two years — I really don’t want to look ahead to next year and see what’s going to happen. I think two false accusations in a lifetime is enough. Thank you all for the support, love. This has been a trying time, but I learned so much about myself and now back to the regularly scheduled program.”

Kourtney quickly deleted the shot after fans started making it a thing, but Travis kind of just doubled down on speculation…

On Monday, an X (Twitter) user took to the social media app to address the baby name chatter, sharing their thoughts on Rocky:

With the release of her book Thicker Than Water, out on Tuesday, the Scandal star has revealed a TON about her personal life — including the fact she just learned her father isn’t her biological father. Wow! Now, she’s getting even more candid about something very timely.

In the memoir, the 46-year-old shared with the world that she had an abortion in her 20s — just as she was starting to make a name for herself in Hollywood.

The unplanned pregnancy occurred after the success of 2001’s Save the Last Dance and her landing the lead role in Spike Lee‘s 2003 film She Hate Me. With so much looking up for her, she wasn’t ready to become a mother, so she went to a doctor’s office – where she gave them a fake name to protect her privacy so her career wouldn’t be affected.

While she was making the right decision for herself at the time, she sadly felt shame and a bit of hypocrisy as she chatted with nurses and underwent the procedure. Why? Because she had spent years as a sexual health educator in her teens. Whoa.

While speaking to People about why it was so important for her to finally be upfront about this, she shared:

“I struggled a lot in the beginning with whether or not to include my abortion story. At first I wasn’t really sure how it fit into this story of my life. But I started to feel like it was really important for me to share this.”

The Django Unchained alum added:

“This story had so much to do with my understanding of myself and the world as my career unfolded.”

But she also thinks the reasoning goes beyond just her — she wants everyone to be more open about their “reproductive choices” as women’s rights get taken away:

“It’s just so important to me that abortion is not a bad word, and that my abortion is not another thing on the list of things that I’m ashamed of. […] We’re at a moment where it’s really important to be telling the truth about our reproductive choices because some of those choices are being stripped away from us.”

The actress added:

“I’m telling my truth about my life, excavating some of my secrets. I don’t want my not telling it to make anybody think there is shame to be had.”

For what it’s worth, the Little Fires Everywhere star has gone on to become a mother. She shares three children, a teenage stepdaughter, a daughter Isabelle, 9, and a son Caleb, 6, with her husband Nnamdi Asomugha. After getting heat for supposedly lying about hosting a baby shower at a Malibu residence on Saturday — which instead turned out to be an “influencer event” for her brand Poosh — Kourtney showed up to her REAL baby shower on Sunday. As to be expected, the reality star went all out for the shindig, which was themed after the Happiest Place on Earth — Disney!

The pregnant model showed off her “special day” celebrating “baby Barker” on her Instagram Story, in which she gave fans a glimpse at the glitzy party! Unique touches included Mickey Mouse-shaped pancakes (and other delicious treats), a barbershop quartet, Disney-themed flags, and Alice in Wonderland green juice. She even had a Wishing Tree and a Steamboat Willie cake.

Many family members were there to support her, including her siblings Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian, who both took tons of photos to capture the awesome celebration! Their kids seemed enamored by the goodies and photo booth, too!

Unfortunately, there was one slight catch to the big day. Since Kourtney’s husband Travis Barker is home from his Blink-182 tour after catching COVID-19, the couple had to social distance! In a photo taken by his adopted daughter Atiana De La Hoya,  the pair could be seen sitting by a pool off to the side while the drummer wore a mask. Kind of a bummer they couldn’t be totally present with their friends and fam! Kris Jenner, who rocked a cute blue two-piece and Mickey Mouse ears, was also in a mask at one point.

According to TMZ on Sunday, Mayor Bruce Silverstein slammed the 44-year-old reality star, accusing her team of giving false information to get a permit to throw a party. Whoa, what?! He said Kourtney’s event planner put in an application with the city for an “Emergency Expedited Permit for Large Event” at a single-family house, claiming it was meant for a baby shower. This request was partly due to concern about the parking at the home, which Kourtney had been renting for the function. But here’s where it gets inneresting…

Silverstein alleged the baby shower was all a ruse! In reality, the party ended up being a promotional event for her health and wellness brand Poosh! Per TMZ, it appears the party in question was the “Poolside with Poosh” bash that was thrown on Saturday. See (below):

Although the permit application stated only 94 guests would attend the so-called “baby shower,” Silverstein said around 600 guests showed up for the “influencer” event. Hmm. None of the Kardashian-Jenner family members even showed up, the mayor claimed!

And understandably, after being lied to, Silverstein isn’t too happy with Kourtney! He expressed his anger over the situation in a statement obtained by TMZ, saying:

“[The] City of Malibu Continues to Place Celebrities and the Uber Wealthy Over Residents: City Staff Sells Out to Kardashian and Grants Emergency Expedited Permit for Large Event in a Vacant Single-Family Home in Private Neighborhood. As an elected official, however, I am appalled by the situation, and it helps me understand what residents throughout the city are dealing with. Not a good look for the city – although it is a great ad to non-residents who want to come here and destroy the residents’ peaceful enjoyment of their homes.”

The politician continued, pointing out the conflicting stories he heard about the gathering:

“I understand that the event has been represented to be a baby shower that is being hosted by the owner of the property. Both of those representations are contrary to what the event planner told me – which was that the house is being ‘rented’ for an ‘influencer event.’ Obviously, one story or the other is false.”

Oof. This is not a good look Kourtney. And now, Mayor Silverstein asked for an internal investigation to be done in order to figure out if any employees from the city were “complicit” in the alleged fraud! Oh s**t! A city council meeting also has been set for Monday to discuss the situation.

The 37-year-old Bachelor alum had been riding on cloud nine for the last year after meeting fellow reality TV star Michael Allio on Bachelor In Paradise early last summer. In fact, Danielle dug the 39-year-old and his 7-year-old son James so much that in February, she moved from Nashville to Cleveland to be with them!

But that all ended two months ago when Michael abruptly broke things off. And now, we are FINALLY getting the full story on how that split came about!

On Monday, Michael went on fellow Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick‘s podcast Trading Secrets. During the show, he hinted cryptically that his months-old split from Danielle had been due to various incompatibilities. Seems simple, right? Case closed!

Or… NOT!!!!! On Friday morning, Maltby took to her Instagram Stories to reflect on Allio’s comments. First, Danielle was shocked to find out Michael had dished publicly about the reasons behind their split at all. But mostly she was frustrated with how incorrect those claims were!

The newly-single star began by saying the split was “not a mutual decision” they’d reached together regarding “some perception of incompatibilities” as he’d implied. Instead, Allio dumped her — out of nowhere:

“Hi friends. Thank you all for the kind messages this week. I’ve been getting many notifications regarding Jason’s podcast and while I was shocked to find out my breakup would be announced in this fashion, I feel I have to address it now. This breakup was not a mutual decision arriving at some perception of incompatibilities. However, I do hope the best for Michael and I will always have James in my heart as we move forward separately.”

She went on to reflect how painful the last few months have been for her in a new city all alone:

“I know so many people were rooting for Michael and I, and I appreciate your support so much. I don’t regret the love I gave for a second. While these last couple months have been extremely difficult and painful for me, I am succeeding in finding moments of joy in building a new life in this city, regardless of how I came to it. I have been extremely invested in my job, which I love and I feel hopeful again to discover what the future holds for me.”

She then teased she was going to discuss the situation on the newest episode of her WoMed podcast later in the day on Friday:

“I will be talking about this a little more on today’s episode of The WoMed only because there was no way around it – human emotions surrounding the egg retrieval process being what they are. Out of respect for the time we shared. love I have and honoring the fact there is a child involved, I won’t be addressing this further. I would really appreciate the respect, time, and space to continue to heal and grieve what I believed was forever and hope you extend the same to Michael. I truly thank you all for the kindness and support you have shown me along the way.”

And discuss she did! When the WoMed ep was released later on Friday, Maltby really opened up to close pal and co-host Jackie Camardo about the split.

Most notably — and most shockingly — Danielle revealed Michael broke up with her with no warning ONE DAY AFTER SHE FROZE HER EGGS!!!!! She said:

“What’s hard in talking about this really isn’t the procedure itself, it’s what came after. … The day after Michael and I got home from freezing my eggs, he broke up with me and I was very, very blindsided by it. Obviously still very emotional and hurt and confused. I still don’t really have any answers.”

Coming down from the hormones she took in the egg-freezing procedure made the breakup and its aftermath even harder:

“It was really difficult to come down off of this experience that I was so excited for and then to have to come down off the hormones while being in complete shock, like complete physical shock, I was just completely blindsided.”

She also says she’s mourning the relationship, including the loss of her connection to Michael’s son:

“I’m grieving the loss of him. I’m grieving the loss of the future that I really believed in and I’m grieving the loss of James. And I’m grieving the loss of safety that I felt with him for the first time. He was the first person that ever made me feel safe in a relationship, that made me feel like I was enough. And then that was taken away.”

Ultimately, with her future being “extremely uncertain,” Danielle is at least glad she has eight frozen eggs with which she can start a family if she so chooses:

“It’s really hard thinking back on the whole experience because it was a really beautiful trip. I was so proud of myself. Michael took great care of me and it was a very, very love-filled weekend and I ended up being able to freeze eight eggs, which now I am just incredibly, incredibly grateful for, as I am now alone.”

Well, that’s one way to look on the bright side.
