As we previously reported, Deanna Esmaeel was found dead in her home in California on Thursday morning. While very little details about the case are known, the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Deputy allegedly had been killed by her boyfriend. The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office announced they were searching for her partner Daniel James Walter, also known as Edward Patrick Davies, since he was the prime suspect in the case. When news of her tragic death broke, Marty took to Instagram on Friday to beg everyone to “contact the authorities” if they saw Walter around:

“This is the hardest post I’ll ever have to write but I found out from the sheriff department last night that my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing. The emotions I have are horrible right now between rage, vengance, crying. There is a nationwide manhunt underway, please if you’ve seen this man contact the authorities immediately!”

He then heartbreakingly expressed in the comments section:

“I just want my mom back”

We cannot imagine the pain he must be feeling right now. Our hearts just break for him. But thankfully, the manhunt for Walter is over now. The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office revealed on Facebook Friday night that he has been taken into custody in Curry County, Oregon – which is roughly 70 miles away (or two hours via a car) from the site of Deanna’s murder:

“The suspect was located and detained by Brookings PD and is in custody in Curry County, Oregon.”

People reported that the Curry County Jail’s online roster listed the murder suspect as Edward Patrick Davies, giving him an “unknown” release date. His offense was also listed as a “FUGITIVE FROM OTHER STATE.” Marty has since reacted to Davis’ arrest, saying on Instagram Stories Saturday:

“I want to thank everyone my friends, the media outlets, the human piece of trash was caught late last night.”

In a shocking report on TMZ, it was revealed Marty’s mother has been murdered. Deanna Esmaeel was killed in her own home — apparently by a man she had been seeing. The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office, where Deanna worked as a sheriff’s deputy, put out an alert Friday in hopes of tracking down Daniel James Walter, also known as Edward Patrick Davies. Walter (or Davies) was Deanna’s boyfriend and is the prime suspect in the murder.

Marty confirmed all this in an emotional Instagram post on Friday afternoon. He wrote:

“This is the hardest post I’ll ever have to write but I found out from the sheriff department last night that my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing. The emotions I have are horrible right now between rage, vengance, crying.”

Our hearts are broken for him…

He added, included the full BOLO flyer for Davies:

“There is a nationwide manhunt underway, please if you’ve seen this man contact the authorities immediately!”

So sad. Marty was obviously so proud of his mom and her accomplishment fulfilling her dream of becoming a deputy. For it to end like this, not even on the job… Just tragic.

Dalya Karezi started an Instagram and TikTok where she threw on her scrubs and gave free medical advice, answering questions for folks among her growing fan base who had serious health questions. The only problem? She was not and had never been a doctor. Not a nurse. Not a medical professional of any kind. She worked in a bank.

Starting in late 2019, Dalya began the ruse — posting under the name “Dr Karezi,” something she also had embroidered on her scrubs. She claimed to work for NSW Health and the NSW Cancer Institute in New South Wales. And she proceeded to give advice on everything from nutrition to cancer treatments. She racked up a shocking 243,000 TikTok followers and 20k on IG. Who knows how many people she fraudulently gave medical advice while posing as a doctor?

What’s really scary? She may not have faced any consequences for the social media activity if she hadn’t gotten carried away in emails. Apparently in 21 emails — in which she said she was allowed to give out medicine, which she most certainly was not — she signed off with the initials RMO and VMO, standing for resident medical officer and visiting medical officer.

Her defense attorney argued down the severity of her actions, saying she was just “endeavouring to repackage already available health information” so no real harm done. He added:

“There was an element of self-promotion. Totally inappropriate, but she was in her mid-20s, and suddenly given attention on social media.”

Yeah because that makes it understandable…

On Wednesday in a court in Sydney, Australia, Karezi pleaded guilty to impersonating a doctor and pretending to be a medical specialist. The 30-year-old faced up to three years in prison and a $60k fine for the crimes. But the judge in the case, Judge Theo Tsavdaridis, sentenced her to just a two-year Community Corrections Order. This despite calling out the seriousness of her crimes in his statement. He called her lies “extensive, prolific and pervasive” — noting she “offered advice on ovarian cancer, Covid, for people’s toddlers, for uterine fibroids, contraception, paracetamol overdose.” All while wearing scrubs and stethoscope.

“Dr. Karezi” has deleted her posts and is now reportedly “engaged in rehabilitation.” Maybe she can find a new persona online as someone who gives the legal advice not to do what she did. You know, as long as she doesn’t claim to be a lawyer while doing so…

For those who don’t recall, the 34-year-old former yoga instructor from Austin, Texas, allegedly fatally shot 25-year-old Moriah “Mo” Wilson in May 2022. Law enforcement believe the professional cyclist had been involved with Armstrong’s boyfriend, Colin Strickland. When the suspect found out the two went swimming together one day, she allegedly killed Mo in a “jealous rage.” Police brought her in for questioning afterward. However, they did not arrest her at the time.

Instead of waiting around to see what authorities did next, Armstrong booked it. She escaped the state and eventually the country, sparking a six-week-long manhunt. The yogi, sporting a whole new appearance due to cosmetic surgery, was eventually captured in Costa Rica on June 29 and arrested on first-degree murder charges. Armstrong has since pleaded not guilty, and her trial is scheduled to begin on October 30.

Before the fitness instructor heads to court, though, she decided to try fleeing once again. And she was SUCCESSFUL! We’re not kidding.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, two deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office had taken Kailin to a doctor in South Austin on Wednesday. When the appointment ended shortly after 8 a.m., officers escorted her to a patrol unit to take her back to the Travis County Correctional Complex. But Armstrong had other plans in mind. She suddenly bolted from the cops and went on the run! There is even a video of her fleeing and trying to scale a fence to get away from the police!!

Fortunately, she was only out of custody briefly. Armstrong got about a block down the road before officers found and detained her again. The sheriff’s office insisted that the accused murderer had been in the deputies’ eyesight the entire time she was out of custody.

Hmm… You would think that given her history of running from the authorities, they would have had a good eye (and hold) on her to begin with so this sort of situation didn’t happen again! As Armstrong evaded the authorities for 43 days in the past, she likely could do it again if she had the opportunity. And clearly, she was trying to make it happen here!

Following her arrest, she was transported to the Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. KXAN reported that Armstrong now could face additional charges for escaping.

Months after the Alabama woman made headlines for vanishing after telling police she saw a toddler walking along the highway — only to later admit that she FAKED her own kidnapping — the court has weighed in on her charges.

If you forgot, the nursing student was charged in July with two misdemeanors: false reporting to law enforcement authorities and falsely reporting an incident, following the reveal of her hoax. At the time, she told authorities she was abducted while attempting to help the child, who she claimed was wandering along I-459. There was a whole search party for the 25-year-old, and over $60k raised to aid in the Birmingham Crime Stoppers’ efforts — but that all ended up being for nothing after she revealed, via her lawyer, that it was all made up.

Pretty weird…

Well, she’s now having to face the music.

During a municipal court hearing on Wednesday, Judge Brad Bishop found the controversial figure guilty of her charges, and ordered her to pay $831 for each, as well as an additional $17k in restitution, according to WIAT CBS 42. She’s also facing up to a year in the slammer, which in her situation could actually be considered getting off easy, as BOTH charges carried potential jail time of up to a year. Yikes!

Carlee pleaded not guilty, but that obviously didn’t go very far. However, her attorney, Emory Anthony, revealed they are going to appeal for the following reason:

“We stipulated and appealed the case and the reason behind it was that they’re trying to ask for jail time, which we totally disagree with. So, in fairness, there’s no need of having a trial here, knowing their position. So we have stipulated and appealed the case and we’ll start anew in the Bessemer circuit court.”

The Chrisley Knows Best alum is serving out a decade-long sentence on bank fraud and tax evasion charges right now at FPC Pensacola in the Florida panhandle. But instead of just sitting around in the slammer and counting down the days until he’s free, he has decided to make something of his time inside.

Todd’s attorney Jay Surgent spoke to TMZ on Wednesday morning and revealed that the shockingly bad conditions within the walls of FPC Pensacola have inspired the reality TV star to act. Surgent told the outlet:

“[Todd has seen] gross negligence and such total disregard for human life and decency from both the staff and just the entire corrections system.”

Specifically, Todd has seen acts that are “nothing short of cruel” behind bars, per the outlet. In one case, Surgent claims Todd recently “saw a man suffer a seizure and didn’t get help for more than an hour.”

The issues are so bad, in fact, that Todd believes it’s no accident he was put in the slammer. Per Surgent, the USA Network alum thinks his incarceration “is actually a mission from God to help others.” For Julie Chrisley‘s husband, that apparently means he intends to use “his time, energy, and resources” to make the prison world “tolerable” for those serving.

No word yet on the specifics of exactly what he’s going to do. The outlet reports Surgent’s claim that Todd is “planning to launch programs and resources” for his fellow inmates, but the details are in the wind (so far, at least). But whatever the solution may be, the reality TV vet sure sounds fired up about the problem.

As for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which oversees FPC Pensacola and other federal penitentiaries, they shared a statement with TMZ following Surgent’s assertions:

“While we decline to comment on anecdotal allegations, we can emphatically assure you the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all individuals in our population, our staff, and the public. Humane treatment of the men and women in our custody is a top priority.”

So, we’ll see what the future holds for Todd. Maybe he really is on a mission from God at his current station in life? It sounds like he believes that to be the case, at least. And hey, whatever helps get him through this experience, right?

As our readers are well aware, a grad student named Bryan Kohberger was arrested last December for the shocking, brutal stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students at the off-campus housing in Moscow. The victims were housemates Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, and Xana Kernodle, as well as Xana’s boyfriend Ethan Chapin. Madde and Kaylee were sleeping together in one room, Xana and Ethan in another. But there were two other roommates there that night — and there have always been a lot of questions surrounding their actions. Now we imagine those are going to come back up…

The two other housemates, Dylan Mortensen and Bethany Funke, survived, reportedly staying in their rooms almost the entire time. Early on in public handouts the cops said they had been asleep the whole time. But then that story changed after the arrest.

In the probable cause affidavit, cops say Dylan (above, left) had seen a tall man in a mask leaving the house. The affidavit reads:

“D.M. stated she originally went to sleep in her bedroom on the southeast side of the second floor. D.M. stated she was awoken at approximately 4 a.m. by what she stated sounded like Goncalves playing with her dog in one of the upstairs bedrooms, which were located on the third floor. A short time later, D.M. said she heard who she thought was Goncalves say something to the effect of ‘there’s someone here.’

D.M. stated she opened her door a second time when she heard what she thought was crying coming from Kernodle’s room. D.M. then said she heard a male voice say something to the effect of ‘it’s ok, I’m going to help you.’

D.M. stated she opened her door for the third time after she heard the crying and saw a figure clad in black clothing and a mask that covered the person’s mouth and nose walking towards her. D.M. described the figure as 5′ 10″ or taller, male, not very muscular, but athletically built with bushy eyebrows. The male walked past D.M. as she stood in a ‘frozen shock phase.’ The male walked towards the back sliding glass door. D.M. locked herself in her room after seeing the male. D.M. did not state that she recognized the male. This leads investigators to believe that the murderer left the scene.”

This was a big change. She had heard the killings, if she didn’t understand what she was hearing. And she opened her door to see what the ruckus was — and saw the killer leaving. It was a miracle he hadn’t tried to kill her, too, right?

Only, there was something that didn’t make sense… but we’ll get back to that. Because now the story seems to be changing again.

Since those initial affidavits and search warrants, there’s been a pretty strict gag order on any information coming out about the case. But according to a shocking report from Air Mail, Kaylee’s father Steve Goncalves has been carrying on his own investigation. He reportedly was told by a member of the grand jury who indicted Kohberger a stunning new version of events…

Per the report, Steve’s grand jury sources contradicted the police. They said not only had Dylan been awake, so had Bethany (above, center). The two roommates were up during the murders and heard EVERYTHING. Not only that, there was proof — because they were texting each other, from inside their rooms, the entire time.

The article claims Goncalves tried to get more info from someone in the know, but the FBI stopped him — because it would have been witness tampering. Hmm…

OK, so the aspect that didn’t make sense to us about Dylan’s statement to cops really doesn’t make sense now. If both she AND Bethany were awake and heard it all and had their phones to text one another — why didn’t they call the police? The murders occurred at around 4 a.m. But the roommates didn’t call the police until 11:58 a.m.  We’re talking about after they slept through the night and woke up — and that reportedly wasn’t until another friend came over that morning!

A source previously told NewsNation‘s Ashley Banfield that Dylan had mistaken the noises for her roommates being boisterous. It happens, we know it was a party house But then she saw the man leaving! And she was scared! So why didn’t she and Bethany realize they should call someone??

There was also the explanation that Dylan froze. She didn’t know what to do. But both roommates could hear everything, and they were texting about it? She wasn’t so frozen that she couldn’t text? There’s something about all this that just feels wrong, like we’re not getting the whole story. Seeing those texts would obviously go along way toward explaining all this. We’re still scratching our heads. We can understand why Steve Goncalves, whose own daughter was taken from him, might still not be able to let this go…

As we’ve been reporting, the 9-year-old was on a family camping trip last weekend at Moreau Lake State Park when she mysteriously disappeared without a trace. After nation-wide attention and an exhaustive search party, alleged kidnapper Craig Nelson Ross Jr. was identified by the fingerprints he left behind on a ransom note he dropped in the Sena family’s mailbox. Thankfully, cops found him in a camper near Milton, NY, where Charlotte was hidden away in a kitchen cabinet.

Such a wild series of events, but according to an ex-girlfriend of Ross’, he may have been planning it all for a while…

In a report published by DailyMail.com on Friday, Amanda Preece, who used to date the disgraced suspect, accused Ross of “targeting” Charlotte because of a $2.2 million dollar lawsuit her grandfather, Patrick Sena, won back in 1998 after suffering a gnarly sledding accident — which left him with a broken pelvis and a spinal fracture. Preece explained:

“Charlotte’s grandfather sued the Town of Greenfield years ago, and people around Saratoga are aware of this. I think that’s why he held her ransom, he was hoping to get some of the money because he’s struggling financially.”

Apparently, Ross, who has multiple sclerosis, wanted $50,000 from the Sena family, which his 33-year-old ex thinks would have “set him up for around four or five years.” She told the outlet:

“He’s never wanted to work. He’s always wanted to find people to mooch off of whether it be girlfriends or making his mother feel bad because his MS is so bad.”

According to the outlet, Ross was behind on tax payments for a Porter Corners property — less than TWO miles from the Sena family home — which forced him to move into a camper on his mother’s property in Ballston Spa in the weeks prior to the kidnapping. But Preece believes it all could have been part of an elaborate scheme to have somewhere to keep Charlotte, as she alleged he had been “following her family” and “knew where they lived.” She explained:

“He watched [Charlotte] until she went around one last time and scooped her up. I feel he definitely had this pre-planned. He put up tarp over the windows a few months prior, so I feel like he had been planning it for a while. He has the patience for messed up things like that. The man didn’t work, so in all that time he’s sitting there, drinking, he’s thinking about his next moves. His mother could have seen through the window from her patio — so that’s why he put up the tarp. You don’t just take a child out of nowhere. He waited until she did one final loop on her own, so I think he was watching her for a while.”

Wow.

She added that he could have set his sights on Charlotte after potentially meeting her at the very same fields his own 11-year-old daughter plays softball at:

“I think other people should know that he potentially met Charlotte while she was playing at the same field as his daughter, you never know who he might have come in contact with.”

How completely messed up! She added:

“To go to the campsite where they were at, to know where they lived, and to go to the park when they are there. He definitely had this planned. He’s the type of person where he pre plans and it can be months ahead to do something.”

Disgusting.

Preece, herself, was at one point a victim of Ross’, as she was granted a restraining order against him in 2017 following a domestic dispute, according to the outlet. She explained:

“He always terrorized me and anybody he encounters where he feels that he is mentally stronger than them he will terrorize them. It’s very passive-aggressive where he’ll get right in your face, and he’ll just stare at you and talk. He can whisper and it still gives you the goosebumps and you’re terrified of him. Craig is the type of person who can get right close to a child and sound really evil in their ear and scare them so they’re quiet because he used to do that to his daughter when she was little. He could have done that to Charlotte. He could have scared her so bad on the way to his mother’s that she was absolutely quiet.”

WTF?!

Well, we’re well aware of his his son feels about him… We’re SO glad he was caught and everyone is okay. As of now, he’s been charged with first-degree kidnapping and is being held at the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

The post Charlotte Sena’s Alleged Kidnapper Was After Her Grandfather’s Multi-Million Dollar Injury Settlement, Says Ex appeared first on Perez Hilton.

As we previously reported, the 31-year-old’s family called the police to perform a welfare check at her apartment in Los Angeles last month after communication from her suddenly stopped. When law enforcement arrived at the residence, they found her dead inside. So, so sad. Mysteriously, fellow model Nichole Coats was also found dead in her apartment in downtown El Lay — two days before Maleesa’s body was discovered!

However, police do not believe these two cases are related!

But nearly a month later, the cause of death for Maleesa finally has been revealed – and it’s disturbing. According to E! News, the LA County Department of Medical Examiner determined the victim died from “homicidal violence”. Innerestingly we now know why the cases of the two models, despite the proximity of time and place, are being treated as unrelated. Nichole’s death is NOT being investigated as a homicide.

Of note, Maleesa’s cause of death had initially been listed simply as “deferred”, but now the results are more conclusive. It sounds like she was murdered. Her case file also noted under her cause of death that there were “other significant conditions.” We may have a good idea what one condition was…

Maleesa’s sister, Jourdin Pauline, told KTLA on Wednesday that Maleesa had been two months pregnant when she died! What a heartbreaking update! Jourdin said her sis had wanted to be a mom so bad:

“I can’t imagine what my sister went through, and it pains me to even think about it.”

Our heart breaks for Maleesa’s family and the other victim’s loved ones. This must be hard for them, especially since there are still so many questions about her death.

Jourdin also told KTLA she believes she knows the reason Maleesa’s cause of death was initially deferred. She says her sister was beaten so brutally that the exact cause couldn’t be identified. We suppose the exact cause still hasn’t — but they wanted to make clear it was violence committed by another person. Horrible.

No arrests have been made in the case at this time. While the investigation continues, cops have asked anyone with information on the murder to reach out to LAPD detectives Pierce or Marcinek at 213-996-4150 or to submit an anonymous tip online to LA crime stoppers or call 1-800-222-8477.

The so-called “world’s worst pedo” has been identified. These charges are frankly difficult to fathom. Mostly the fact there are a jaw-dropping 1623 of them.

The childcare worker was taken into custody by Australian authorities last year and charged with two counts of making child exploitation material and one count of using a carriage service for child pornography material. But those counts skyrocketed as the investigation continued. The final count came out for the first time back in August once all the victims were identified. And we mean all. He’s charged with the abuse of 91 little girls over a 15 year period from 2007 to 2022 — 87 from Australia, four from other countries. He may be the single worst offender who’s ever been caught in the country — but he remained unnamed for legal reasons. He has now been unmasked. According to local new outlets, he’s a 45-year-old from the Gold Coast named Ashley Griffith.

Apparently Griffith was able to get close to children by working at childcare centers, 12 different ones over the last decade and a half — one in Europe (though the country is not named), one in New South Wales, and the rest in Brisbane.

The sheer numbers of his crimes over those years is staggering. Per The US Sun‘s tally, he faces 604 counts of indecent treatment of a child, 613 counts of making child exploitation material, 136 counts of rape, 110 counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10. Under 10… JFC…

He got repeated access to his victims through his job. Police say he raped one victim 28 times and abused another 54 times.

Apparently he was finally caught last year when Australian Federal Police spotted certain items in the background of CSAM videos they intercepted on the dark web. Shockingly the first time they came across his videos was way back in 2014. It took that long to take this man down… and the damage he did in that time…

Shockingly Griffith had been investigated before. In 2021, colleagues reported they’d seen him touching a child inappropriately. The case was dropped due to lack of evidence — and he went right back to work with kids.

As the director of a childcare center in Brisbane, his staff profile read:

“I love engaging children in meaningful experiences that inspire their play and learning. Young children are natural inquirers, exploring the world through their senses, seeking answers and building theories. As an Early Childhood Teacher I hope to share this journey, learning side-by-side children and inspiring them.”

Horrific in retrospect, knowing why he was really there.

The reason Griffith has finally been named, btw, is the law was changed. Until Tuesday, an older law was in effect preventing law enforcement from naming accused rapists until the last minute, when their trials were beginning. Griffith is the first alleged predator to be named since the change.
