It appears the once close sisters-in-law have hit a rough patch amid the Game of Thrones alum’s nasty divorce from Joe Jonas! As of Friday, the mother of two has unfollowed Nick Jonas‘ wife on Instagram — and the Quantico star has done the same! Dang!

Interestingly, Sophie still follows Nick, Kevin Jonas, his wife Danielle Jonas, AND her ex! Soooo, perhaps there is drama between Sophie and Priyanka?!?! After all, it wasn’t like the 27-year-old was cleansing her timeline of all things Jonas! This was a targeted attack!

Earlier in the couple’s divorce, a source told Life & Style that the Citadel lead felt “caught in the middle” since she’s friends with both Sophie and Joe. Considering she was “very close” with the Brit — so close they thought they would both move their families to England together — she supposedly didn’t “want to do anything to jeopardize [Sophie and her nieces] being in her life.” But she must’ve done something if they both unfollowed each other! Right??

Publicly, the Love Again star has stayed hush-hush on the split, so it’s hard to know what could’ve occurred. The only notable thing the 41-year-old did was gush about her hubby hours after rumors surfaced that the DNCE frontman was planning to file for a legal split. Maybe the timing of the post rubbed the actress the wrong way?? Or some other s**t went down behind the scenes?

It is somewhat surprising since Jophie has actually managed to settle their child custody battle following mediation talks. Joe even filed to drop his Miami divorce filing, suggesting this chaos is over. But we guess a whole new feud is just beginning. Oof!

He vehemently denied the claims. However, Sophie revealed the Jonas Brothers member penned a letter that proved he wanted to move across the pond before their breakup.

They’ve since begun a four-day-long mediation in the hopes of coming to some sort of compromise before they head to court to battle it out on January 2, 2024. Whether an agreement can be made remains unknown. We guess never say never, right!?

But here’s the thing – not only has the split caused bitterness between Joe and Sophie, but it’s also created a very tense situation for their friends and family, especially for sister-in-law Priyanka Chopra! According to Life & Style this week, Nick Jonas’ wife has been having a tough time navigating the split as she – and many others – have felt “caught in the middle!” Uh oh. A source explained:

“Sophie and Joe kept a lot of their friends separate, but a few are caught in the middle of this mess.”

The insider then said of Priyanka:

“She and So­phie were very close. There was once a time Sophie thought she and Joe would move to London and so would Nick and Priyanka. Priyanka loves Sophie and her nieces and doesn’t want to do anything to jeopar­dize them being in her life.”

In fact, the two women were so “close” that the 41-year-old actress even considered Sophie a “sister” at one point. She told Elle in 2019 about her close relationship with the 27-year-old and Kevin Jonas’ wife, Danielle:

“I’ve never had a sister, so it’s really nice to have Danielle and Sophie, and just inheriting the family by proxy. Sophie is super talented, super funny and we have the most fun when we go out together. She’s incredible. By the time this comes out, she’ll be the new Mrs. Jonas. I can’t wait for her to join the family.”

Oof. And now Sophie and Joe are going their separate ways…

This must be so hard for everyone involved, considering it soulds like they had to choose sides in this situation no matter how close they may be to the two of them. For those who don’t know, the 40-year-old actress’ Amazon Prime Video show – which premiered in April –follows two former agents, Nadia Sinh and Mason Kane (portrayed by Richard Madden), whose memories were erased after the downfall of the spy agency called Citadel. Throughout the season, the two characters attempt to remember their past and take down the Manticore crime organization. And they also get in a dig at Catherine during this journey!

In the third episode of Citadel, the Quantico alum’s character sends Mason to meet with the crime boss Balduino Basto, played by Sen Monro. While Nadia doesn’t appear in person, she speaks through an earpiece to speak with Mason. Balduino is asked to help break into the office of the armed forces chief at one point, to which he says:

“The chief of armed forces? You might as well have asked me how to get between the legs of the Duchess of Cambridge!”

Whoa. Princess Catherine has since been given the title Princess of Wales after Queen Elizabeth II died in September. However, she most likely was still named the Duchess of Cambridge when this season one scene was filmed. So this seems like some serious shade being thrown at the royal right now! At this time, neither Amazon Prime Video nor Priyanka has spoken out about the joke. However, there’s also no doubt the mom of one knew about the crude joke about Princess Catherine since she was still a part of the scene when it was said – and it was obvi in the script. Oof.

It’s no secret that she is close friends with Meghan. She even attended the Suits alum wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. And this wouldn’t be the first time Priyanka has made it known to the world that she’s #TeamMeghan amid the Duchess of Sussex’s feud with Catherine! Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Sunday night, all three together on the show for the first time… and things got spicy quick! The host, of course, had a few games prepared for the musical trio. The mission? To get to the bottom of a few burning questions fans have been wondering for years! The results? Equal parts hilarious, endearing, and scandalous! Ooohhh…

First off, one fan called in and asked Nick exactly what he said to his now wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas when he first slid into her DMs! Oh, and they were also curious how often he would slide into others’ DMs before getting hitched! Ha! But Nick was prepared! He explained coolly, “Life before Priyanka is a distant memory.” Smooth! Then he pulled out his phone to check the receipts of the DMs to his future wife, explaining:

“I saved a photo of it, and I can also go to my DMs and it’s still in there.”

Aww! So sweet that he still keeps those OG messages! The 30-year-old offered: 

“I said something to the effect of, ‘Hey, I’ve heard we have a lot of things in common, friends in common, and I think we should meet in person.’ And she right away responded, she was like, ‘Nice to meet you. Let’s get off DM, let’s go to text, my team might be watching.’”

Ha! Love that she was already interested in the kind of talk she wouldn’t want her team seeing! Great sign!

Some of the questions included, “Who is your parents’ favorite?” which the three unanimously agreed on Nick, “Who Googles themselves most often?” which Nick and Joe both agreed was Joe, and “Who’s the most sensitive?” which they all agreed was Kevin. Next up, the singers played “Agree or Disagree,” in which they had to either, you guessed it, agree or disagree with Andy’s statements. The host got right into it with the hot take: “High School Musical is a better movie than Camp Rock.” All three bros unanimously agreed, despite starring in the latter. Kevin quickly shouted out HSM had a “bigger budget.”

THEN Andy really went all out, stating, “The purity rings were a bad idea” — and all three agreed! Nick said: 

“In theory, they’re not a bad idea. But you should know what you’re signing up for before you sign up for it.”

LOLz! Joe added:

“When you’re 12 versus when you’re, like, 16, is a very big difference.”

…OK, so it’s not quite like that. But the story of how Nick Jonas first saw his lovely wife is actually pretty crazy. It seems he saw her as a young child, and his family recalls the entire thing — while Priyanka had no clue it ever happened!

On Thursday, Priyanka spoke to Jennifer Hudson on her eponymous daytime television platform to promote two of her newest projects — the film Love Again, as well as her Prime Video spy series Citadel.

But past the streaming promo push, the former pageant queen revealed an amazing story about the beginning of her career — and the first time Nick laid eyes on her!!! Let’s go back to the year 2000 for this one. It was that November when Priyanka won the Miss World pageant in London. She had only just turned 18 years old a few months earlier, and the pageant win changed her life in an instant.

Speaking candidly to the Jennifer Hudson Show host about it, Priyanka recalled:

“I won the Miss World pageant. This was in London. This was November and I had turned 18 in July. A complete child. I had no idea what I was doing or what this world entailed. I didn’t have a lot of practice.”

But this storyline isn’t about re-living that inspiring moment. It’s about how Nick experienced it from 5,000 miles away!!

Priyanka explained to Hudson what her now-husband — who was just a small child at the time — was up to when she won on the stage in London that year:

“My mother-in-law was like, ‘I remember watching you when you won.’ And I was like, ‘I was in London. This is 2000.’ They were, I think, in Texas. I was like, ‘there’s no way.’ And she was like, ‘I remember it so clearly.'”

See, Nick’s dad Kevin Jonas Sr. is apparently a big beauty pageant fan. So he had the pageant on that night when it aired live.

Nick himself was only 7 years old during the 2000 Miss World competition. But!!! Priyanka explained how the little boy plopped down to watch the show with his dad:

“She said, ‘I remember this clearly because Kevin Sr. loves watching pageants. And he, I remember, was watching it and Nick came and sat down and watched you win.'”

OMG!!!

So Nick was happily watching along on TV with his dad when Priyanka took home the Miss World crown. And now, more than two decades later, the couple is happily married with a growing family. So crazy to look back!

With Hudson having to pick up her proverbial jaw off the floor, Priyanka, now 40, concluded:

Weird, indeed! But also very sweet! They obviously had no idea they’d meet, fall in love, and marry one day. But here we are! It was fate!

While speaking to Howard Stern on Tuesday’s episode of his SiriusXM show, the Quantico alum opened up even more about the botched nose procedure she first revealed to the world in 2021 in her memoir Unfinished. She called her struggle with her appearance after the surgery a “dark phase,” revealing:

“It was a dark phase. This thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression. [I thought my career] was over before it started.”

The Citadel star said she got fired from three different movies due to the massive change in her face — and feeling like she’d lost her career, she fell into a dark place. So, so sad.

The 40-year-old superstar admitted she was feeling so depressed about her appearance at the time that she stopped going outside all together and instead hid away in her home. It took the encouragement of her father to get her to go under the knife a second time and correct the botched surgery, she explained:

“I was terrified of that, but he was like, ‘I will be in the room with you.’ He held my hands through it and helped me build back my confidence.”

Aww! Such a sweet father-daughter relationship!

Priyanka also said Bollywood director Anil Sharma helped her build back her confidence by encouraging her to give her all, no matter what role she was stuck with:

“I was supposed to play this lead, and I was shifted to a supporting character. That filmmaker was very kind. He, while the tide was against me, said, ‘It will be a small part but give it your all.’ And I did.’”

Nick Jonas‘ blushing bride previously spoke out about her nose surgery in her memoir. Back in 2001 she thought she had a terrible sinus infection that turned out to be a nasal polyp. When she went in to get it removed, there were some surgical complications, and her nose was nearly destroyed:

“While shaving off the polyp, the doctor also accidentally shaved the bridge of my nose and the bridge collapsed. When it was time to remove the bandages and the condition of my nose was revealed, Mom and I were horrified. My original nose was gone. My face looked completely different. I wasn’t me anymore.”

The outcome left her feeling “devastated and hopeless.” Understandable! Something like that would ruin anyone’s confidence! We’re so glad she was able to get it corrected and find her sparkle again.

As you most likely know, the 40-year-old actress and her husband, Nick Jonas, welcomed their first child via surrogate in January 2022. While that was one of the happiest moments of their lives, it was one of the most difficult ones as well. The couple later revealed that their daughter Malti was born prematurely at only 27 weeks and spent more than 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit or NICU. So, so sad.

And more than a year following the scary experience, Priyanka is now opening up some more about those early days of her little one’s life. In an interview with Today.com published on Thursday, the Quantico alum recalled that when she learned her child was coming earlier than expected, she completely shut down at the time:

“I remember [Nick] just held me by my shoulders, and I said, ‘Just tell me what to do, because I don’t know what to do.’ And he’s like, ‘Just get into the car with me.’ And we drove to the hospital. She was born, and from the moment she took her first breath to now, she’s never been without one of us, ever.”

While Priyanka was understandably terrified for Malti, she soon realized she “did not have the luxury to be scared or to be weak” while her daughter was fighting for her life in the NICU. For months, the momma remembered she and Nick dividing their time so someone was always with her — even if it was just to watch the nurses take care of her from the sidelines:

“I don’t think it was our test. I think it was her test. I realized very, very early that I did not have the luxury to be scared or to be weak, because she was scared and weak. And I had to be her strength as her mom. I needed to make her feel at every given moment that she’s not alone…that we’ve got her.”

Thankfully, Malti was able to go home with her parents after her rocky battle in the NICU for 110 days. Although Priyanka was able to breathe easier now that their little one was out of the hospital, her fears for the baby’s well-being did not ease up. She shared that it was difficult for her at first when Malti came home due to the absence of the NICU monitors:

“You know your child is alive, because you can see their heartbeat (on the monitor). I couldn’t sleep for days, because now suddenly she was home without a monitor. I used to put my ear on her chest. I would wake up every couple of minutes just to see if she was OK. For weeks, this went on.”

Heartbreaking. We cannot imagine how hard this transition must have been for both Priyanka and Nick, especially after having to watch their child in the NICU for so long. But now, it seems like they’re in a better place a year later after coming “so close to losing” their daughter several times. The Baywatch star touched on her sweet relationship with Malti in an interview with Elle on Thursday, sharing that her baby girl has “got me wrapped around her finger.” She added:

“I don’t even know how I’ll ever discipline her because I just don’t have it in me. I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything and I just want to see her happy. I want her to be the happiest. She’s a super smiley, happy baby, and that’s all my goal is — to see her joyous. Every time she smiles, it lights up my world, and that’s all I want to do.”

While she didn’t show off a glimpse, we definitely got the mental image, and it’s seriously one of the sweetest things we’ve ever heard! She added that the Jonas Brothers alum is “super thoughtful,” and has helped her to “approach things from a much calmer place,” balancing out her “tornado” personality.
