On Instagram, Travolta posted a gorgeous throwback photo of his late wife in honor of her birthday. Kelly sadly passed away in 2020 after a rough two-year long battle with breast cancer. The Grease alum has since been keeping her memory alive, and on Thursday wrote in a caption below the throwback photo:

“Happy Birthday Kelly! We love you!”

Such an adorable photo! So bittersweet.

It’s been over three years since Kelly died, and over a decade since they lost their beloved son Jett — this family has shown so much strength and resilience. At the time of the Secret Admirer‘s passing, a family rep released a statement about her that said in part:

“She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched.”

So well said… We’re sending so much love and light to John, Ella, and the rest of the Travolta bunch. Happy birthday, Kelly!

According to The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been spending time with none other than John Travolta. A source said the trio met at the Polo Lounge inside The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles during an event for Archewell and “got on extremely well.” And they’ve reportedly been buddy-buddy since then. Before anyone asks, no, Meghan and Harry are not becoming Scientologists like the 69-year-old actor! Sources insisted to the outlet that Harry and Meghan are not joining Scientology.

Page Six confirmed the hangout at the Polo Lounge. However, their insider claimed it was “once” for the release party for Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir, Spare, back in January. The source said the group had a “very friendly encounter” but “nothing more than that.” Hmm…

Either way, it wouldn’t surprise us if Meghan and Harry attempted to connect with John again. The Pulp Fiction star already has a connection with the 38-year-old royal, considering he met his late mom Princess Diana years ago. They famously danced together during a dinner at the White House in 1985, and John called it “one of the highlights of [his] life.”

Also, Harry and Meghan have been losing a ton of friends left and right lately! As we previously reported, the pair allegedly had a falling out with David and Victoria Beckham. An insider claimed to Dailymail.com last week that the former athlete and Spice Girls member were accused by the Sussexes of leaking stories to the press. However, that turned out not to be the case and David was “absolutely bloody furious” about the allegations. And they have since severed all ties – with very little hope of ever rekindling their friendship in the future. The source noted:

“Any making up now is so unlikely.”

But here’s a sudden twist in the story! The Page Six insider claimed “nothing has happened in [Markle and Harry’s] friendship with the Beckhams,” adding:

“That’s total BS. Daily Mail must be bored and grasping at straws.”

It’s important to note, though, that this isn’t the first time there were rumblings of a friendship breakup between Victoria, David, Harry, and Meghan. This also isn’t the only relationship that appears to be strained right now. Dailymail.com reported Meghan and Harry also have fallen out with George and Amal Clooney as well as Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. Yikes…

Jeffree Star

Makeup mogul Jeffree Star left the El Lay life behind for the ranch life! He sold his famous $15 million mansion and packed up his Pomeranians for the rolling fields of Casper, Wyoming in December of 2020. There he opened up a new business, Star Yak Ranch, where he sells yak meat to local restaurants as well as to individuals straight off of his website.

Talk about a big turnaround – makeup to meat!

Kanye West

Kanye West left Hollywood for a Wyoming ranch, too (which didn’t help put those Jeffree Star rumors to rest at the time)! In 2021, when whispers of his divorce from Kim Kardashian started circulating, the rapper and socialite disagreed heavily on where their future was headed. The whole family started spending time together in Wyoming in 2019, but Kim changed her original dreams of moving to the Equality State permanently when she started her law career. In a 2021 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she said:

“I just honestly can’t do this anymore. Why am I still in this place where I’m stuck for years? Like, he goes and moves to a different state every year. have to be, like, together so I can raise the kids. He’s an amazing dad, he’s done an amazing job. [Kanye] deserves someone who will support his every move [and] go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming.”

In January of 2021, a source confirmed to US Weekly that the Stronger rapper had no intentions of leaving his ranch. We wonder how his new bride Bianca Censori feels about one of his many homes!

Lori Loughlin & Mossimo Giannulli

Lori Loughlin and her fashion designing hubby Mossimo Giannulli hit the road and headed to Idaho, leaving the Golden State behind. In April of 2021, rumors started going around that the actress and her man were straying from celeb life to “work on their marriage.” But why Idaho? Do they really like potatoes that much? Well, a source told US Weekly at the time:

“Lori loves hiking, skiing and the outdoors. Taking long hikes calms her and she looks forward to her hikes daily. [Mossimo] also loves the outdoors and especially the snowboarding and skiing that Idaho has to offer.”

They also reportedly felt “comfortable” leaving the state after their daughters left the nest! Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose moved out of their parents’ home after the college admissions scandal – which Lori and Moss’s short-lived prison stay may or may not also have something to do with their plans to leave the land of USC!

Reese Witherspoon

In 2022, Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth left Los Angeles to find peace somewhere a bit less hustle and bustle (but not too much). They decided to call Nashville, Tennessee their new home after they both felt like they needed to start a new chapter in their lives. An insider for OK! Magazine said at the time the Legally Blonde star just really wanted to go home:

“Nashville has always been a special place for them, Reese especially. It’s where she grew up, and she still has family there. Reese and Jim visit every year and decided that it was time to make a more permanent move.”

Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban left Hollywood way back in 2007 and found a spot just a half-hour south of Nashville on a farm. The country music singer gushed to The Tennessean at the time that he and his wife found their forever home:

“The first place I took her to [even before house-hunting] was out near Leipers Fork. That ended up being out in the general area where we will now call home. I just knew that she would love it for the exact same reasons I love it. There’s a pace and a way of living that is much more spiritually satisfying to me than a lot of other places.”

Kristin Cavallari knew everything was perfect when she found her Franklin, Tennessee home! After her 2020 divorce from ex-husband Jay Cutler, she bought a three-story, five-bedroom farmhouse sitting on 28 acres and never looked back. She told MyDomaine at the time:

Adrian Grenier

Actor Adrian Grenier decided to trade Cali for Texas in 2020 when he relocated permanently to a farm in Bastrop, a city that’s just 45 minutes away from Austin. He revealed to Life Magazine in 2021 he’d already planted a fruit forest and had plans to create a wildlife sanctuary. He gushed about the city:

“I had friends here, I ran a business here, and liked the pace. Austin is cosmopolitan without being snooty; it’s earthy. People are smart and successful but they don’t flaunt it. There is nothing to prove, people accept you and it felt good right away.”

Julia Roberts

Just one home away from Hollywood wasn’t enough for Julia Roberts! The actress is well known for her homes all over the country, including her stunning properties in Hawaii, New Mexico, Georgia, and New York. She and her hubby Daniel Moder couldn’t leave California behind completely, though, and also have a home in Malibu.

The actress previously told Oprah Winfrey her favorite of all the homes is her mansion in the Enchantment State, gushing:

“It’s peaceful, and it’s a relief. I always say you can’t be in a bad mood here. I don’t know if it’s New Mexico or just the mountains, but you can’t be silly in a negative way.”

Mara Wilson

Matilda herself didn’t have time for Hollywood’s golden standards and left the city at only 13! Mara Wilson has a special place in everyone’s hearts with her adorable ’90s childhood stardom, but when she was done she was DONE. She originally said her reasons for leaving the acting sphere was to focus on writing, but in 2016 she explained to NPR the pressure was just too much:

“I was very depressed, I was very anxious, I can barely even remember Matilda coming out. I only have vague memories of the premiere, and it was really hard for me. So I think that I definitely became kind of disenchanted with acting, with Hollywood.”

So sad to hear…

Luckily she overcame her struggles and now lives her best life in Burbank as a respected essayist and blogger.

Bridgit Mendler

Another Disney Channel star left the El Lay life to pursue a completely different career! Good Luck Charlie alum Bridgit Mendler disappeared from her acting and music careers to go to college, and is currently a PhD student at MIT. She lives a happy under-the-radar life in Mill Valley, California with her hubby Griffin Cleverly whom she married in 2019.

She might not be gone forever, though, as she teased new music is coming “soon” earlier this year! Exciting!

Nikki Blonsky

Hairspray’s Nikki Blonsky says she never left Hollywood – Hollywood left her. The actress revealed in 2017 to Out Magazine after her iconic role as Tracy she just couldn’t land auditions like her former co-stars Zac Efron and John Travolta. She told the outlet at the time:

“It felt like they took me to the top of a mountain and gave me everything I ever wanted. Then after a year, they all just looked at me and said, ‘Okay, bye!’ and left me with no way to get down.”

She now lives in Long Island with her partner Hailey Jo Jenson whom she got engaged to last year.

Daniel Day-Lewis

One of the most acclaimed actors of all time left Los Angeles and the film industry very suddenly and shocked his fans beyond measure. Reps for Daniel Day-Lewis told Variety in 2017 his film Phantom Thread would be the last movie he put under his belt as an actor. The statement read:

“He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject.”

There isn’t much info on what he’s up to now, but last we heard he’s living in Ireland with his wife Rebecca Miller.

During the 95th Oscars Sunday night, the 69-year-old actor introduced the “In Memoriam” segment, in which the Academy paid tribute to industry members who’ve unfortunately passed away over the last year. John, of course, was a fitting man for the job, as his lifelong friend and Grease co-star Olivia passed away back in August 2022 at age 73 after a decades long battle with cancer. He began his speech:

“In this industry, we have the rare luxury of getting to do what we love for a living, and sometimes getting to do it with people that we come to love. Since tonight is a celebration of the work and the accomplishments of our community and this past year, it is only fitting then that we celebrate those we’ve lost who’ve dedicated their lives to their craft, both in front of and behind the camera. Through their immeasurable contributions, each of them left an individual and indelible mark that shared and informed us.”

He continued, through tear-filled eyes:

“They’ve touched our hearts. They’ve made us smile, and became dear friends who we will always remain Hopelessly Devoted to.”

Musician Lenny Kravitz then took the stage to perform a beautiful rendition of Calling All Angels, as the Academy played the tribute slideshow honoring our lost ones. Watch (below):

It wasn’t long after the tribute aired, though, that viewers pointed out the lack of inclusion of a few late big names. Following the four-minute long segment, Twitter users named specific celebs who were missing from this list, including the likes of Anne Heche, who died in a fiery car crash at 53 last August, Lisa Marie Presley, who died at 54 in January after suffering a heart attack, and shockingly, Charlbi Dean, a South African actress who had a prominent role in the 2022 film Triangle of Sadness, which was nominated for three Academy Awards at the live show.

The Underground Bunker’s Tony Ortega revealed back in 2016 that the singer was fighting a war with the organization behind the scenes, helping stories come to light that exposed the most despicable practices of her former faith.

Now Ortega has released the definitive interview with Lisa Marie on the subject of her involvement with the Church. And as she says, “it’s a f**king hell of a story.”

The King’s Daughter

She began by explaining:

“I got in right after my father died.”

Apparently Elvis Presley was a big target for Scientology; they regularly sent him books and other materials to try to get him on board. But after his death in 1977, it was his ex-wife Priscilla Presley who found all of the books and got curious. She reached out to John Travolta, who got her in touch with the right people who got her right in — her and her daughter. Lisa Marie was just 9 years old. And she says while her famous mom was treated like a VIP, as a kid she was treated like a bother. She said Priscilla “would dump me off at Scientology” bases:

“My mom was always trying to figure out what to do with me. I had watches on me. I thought at one point that I wanted to join the Sea Org just to get out of my mom’s house.”

Whoa! For those who don’t know, the Sea Organization is the group of super-dedicated workers who allegedly work non-stop for $25/week and have to sign billion-year contracts that say they have to come back in subsequent lives and continue to serve. Cray.

As a teen she was looked after by the then-captain of the Flag Land Base in Clearwater, Florida, a woman named Debbie Cook. She said:

“I loved Debbie. And what happened to her really wrecked me.”

Debbie was involved in a legal battle with the Church in 2012. They sued her for speaking out to other members against some of leader David Miscavige’s practices — apparently she “won,” scoring a settlement after going public with descriptions of “The Hole,” an alleged prison where Miscavige was illegally detaining people. Eventually Debbie told Lisa her “whole life has been a manipulation.”

But what really opened Lisa’s eyes happened a lot earlier. When she turned 25 years old (this would have been in 1993), she qualified for her inheritance from her father’s enormous estate. Suddenly Scientology was much more interested in her. She recalled bitterly:

“At 25, after I got the inheritance, they started grooming me to be this person who would go out and get everyone else in.”

“Out to get” whom? Well, they wanted the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Of course they wanted the King of Pop, too.

Michael Jackson

Yes, Scientology was quite keen on Lisa Marie bringing Michael Jackson into the fold. Their controversial 1994 marriage was not staged, she maintained; she wasn’t just there as a honeypot for the Church. But the organization did try to use their union as a way to get him.

MJ famously grew up a Jehovah’s Witness, but they saw what they thought was a vulnerable celeb they could manipulate. Instead, it turned out he was a force they couldn’t control. Lisa Marie says “they realized he was getting too much bad press” and decided to give up on trying to recruit him. Surprisingly, Lisa Marie explained, Scientology didn’t push her to marry the Thriller singer in the first place, but they did pressure her to leave him! She told Ortega:

“I was in love with Michael, believe it or not. I didn’t want to leave him. He was in trouble and I wanted to help him. And they made sure that I left him.”

She said Miscavige himself, as well as lawyer John P. Coale, convinced her to file for divorce when things weren’t going well between them. They told her if MJ filed first he’d have a huge legal advantage. She recalled:

“One morning I got a call from John Coale. He said, ‘Michael’s going to make a move. He’s going to file.’ So I filed.”

Coale denies this, saying he not only “never told her to love or unlove Mr. Jackson” but also that there was no legal reason to file first because there were no children or financial stakes to fight over.

But Lisa said she thought her situation was akin to that of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. She says of the movie star couple:

“I know how in love they were. But they were driven apart.”

Huh.

Operating Thetan Level 7

When asked about how far up in the org she and her mom got, Lisa explained that Priscilla never got to the higher levels:

“My mom’s not Clear. She takes courses and reads books, but she’s not involved.”

Lisa on the other hand got up to Operating Thetan Level 7, the second highest auditing level. It apparently takes a long time, sometimes years to finish — but it was the wall that Lisa hit with the religion. She finally learned enough to realize she was out:

“I never finished it. I quit after three months. It was bulls**t. It was just about control. It was just a way of getting more money.”

And when was it that they got interested in her? Mm-hm.

Scientology Friends

Ortega asked Lisa about her relationships with some of the more famous Church members. She said she detested Tom Cruise from the start:

“I f**king hate Tom. I met him 20 years ago. I said I never want to be in a room with him again.”

Well. What about John Travolta, who first ushered her family into the Church in the first place? There are no hard feelings on that score, she says:

“John is my last Scientology friend. Kelly [Preston] kind of monitors us. John and I get unruly if we’re together. John is renting my house in Hawaii right now.”

[BTW, this interview was a few years ago, before the passing of Kelly Preston in 2020. RIP.]

She revealed she and John would have long late night conversations about what the rest of the world was saying about Scientology, something which was forbidden. According to her, Travolta was basically completely oblivious to all of that:

“I told him about the HBO thing. He had no idea. I told him that Debbie Cook was gone. He had no idea. He has no Internet or email. He’s so sheltered. All he knows is what they tell him. He’s smart but sheltered.”

Wow.

Where Are The Miscaviges?

Shelly Miscavige, wife of the Leader David Miscavige, has apparently been missing for years. And David himself has disappeared recently as well. Lisa didn’t know for sure where they were, but she gave her best guess. She agrees with vocal ex-Scientologist Mike Rinder that Shelly is being held against her will at a compound in the San Bernardino Mountains. She stated matter-of-factly:

“She is at that place at Arrowhead. She’s under 24/7 guard.”

She even asked David where she was after she first disappeared so many years ago, and he told her simply, “Compilations.” That meant she was doing some kind of special mission. But he didn’t say what. And apparently it’s never been finished…

As for David, she said the last time she saw him was around 2011. She already had a foot out the door but it sounds like this made her decision more clear, no pun intended…

“While I was beginning to realize how f**ked up everything was, and how many criminals there were, I had dinner with him at Nobu four years ago in London. Listening to him talk about how great Scientology was doing was like hearing Hitler talking about how he has chimneys and smoke coming out of everywhere. All he could talk about was Tom or buildings. A four-hour dinner.”

Geez. Lisa mentioned how Leah Remini very publicly defecting in 2013 changed everything. She said David basically disappeared after that, let alone all the child-trafficking-lawsuit subpoena evasion:

“My mom is still friends with [a Scientology attorney who] told her that Dave is so paranoid now, nobody sees him. Nobody sees him. He’s going into an underground bunker period.”

Ortega mentions she laughed as she called back to the name of the publication she was speaking with. She was witty like that. But she wasn’t joking about him going into hiding. She reiterated:

“He’s going into that bunker phase.”

That was years ago. It’s only now that he’s really being looked for that anyone on the outside realized, we guess.

Lisa’s Exit

So how did Lisa come to leave Scientology herself?

She realized she was done many, many years ago, but she left very carefully. She started gathering ammo in 2007, asking questions and gathering info. A lot of what she found ended up in the Going Clear documentary. She said in 2015:

“For the last eight years, I’ve been putting together everything that was in that special.”

Wow! Her name wasn’t closely associated with the film, which was made by director Alex Gibney.

She isn’t mentioned in the credits or on the IMDB page. But she was helping from behind the scenes the whole time, getting info from David’s father Ron Miscavige and friend (and escapee) Roanne Horwich. She said:

“While I was questioning Ron and Roanne, my mom and daughter were still in. I had to be real careful. I didn’t want to get them in trouble.”

She started asking all these questions years before leaving, speaking to members who knew about the unsavory things the organization was doing AND were willing to talk about it. And it was what she learned from them that drove her to leave the Church. Ultimately it was learning about The Hole.

First revealed publicly in a Tampa Bay Times exposé in 2009, The Hole is allegedly a set of offices in Int Base, or “Gold Base,” near Hemet, California. According to those who have spoken out, David Miscavige had created The Hole in 2004 as a place to punish disobedient underlings. They are allegedly imprisoned there and forced to “accuse each other of disloyalty” in bizarre “seances.” It was when she learned about the imprisonment of Church members that Lisa Marie decided:

“No way, that’s not why I joined this.”

She had her final stand with the organization in 2014. She took her son, Benjamin Kough (who was never a Scientologist) and then-husband Michael Lockwood down to Florida to confront David Miscavige, whom she had once legitimately considered a friend, about the worst things she’d heard:

“I was just going to go there and see if it’s as bad as everyone said. So I went to the headquarters in Clearwater.”

Ron Miscavige called her when he found out, asking what she was planning.

“‘I don’t f**king know,’ I told him. ‘I’m here with a wand checking for bugs in the hotel room. I don’t know.’ … I just know that I started to self-destruct because this thing [Scientology] is corrupt. I needed closure.”

Ron told her she’d never be allowed in to see his son, not anymore. She recalled:

“Dave is too f**king scared to talk to me. I’m in the belly of the beast. It was his terrain, but I was obviously not afraid. He’s afraid.”

She was let into the Flag Building by a Sea Org officer, but David wasn’t there. There were cameras, though. She deduced this was the closest she would get. So she picked a camera and said her piece to it:

“I don’t know what’s wrong with you. Are you throwing everyone in The Hole? You just made the biggest mistake of your life, you just broke up your own family. Somebody needs to stop you.”

She says when she was back at her hotel she got called back in. The officer told her she wasn’t allowed to be in touch with “SP,” or “suppressive person,” Ron. They asked her to come in and speak to David’s sisters, Denise and Lori. So she went back, once again into the room with just cameras, she assumed streaming straight to David’s bunker. It wasn’t exactly a conversation:

“Denise starts screaming at me. I’d met her before. I wouldn’t say we were friends. She’s screaming about how Ron had beat her mother. How he would drink when he was looking over the kids.”

She added:

“I couldn’t get a word in edgewise. I remained completely unemotional while Denise was screaming all kinds of crazy s**t. It was all a show for Dave. I kind of had a smile on my face the whole time.”

She eventually screamed at her that it wasn’t her business and to stay out of their family affairs. Lisa responded:

“‘I’m done, Denise. Good job.’ I tried to be as calm as possible.”

Lisa remembered turning to the Sea Org officer:

She said she went back one more time, the next day, attempting to speak to David about what had happened the day before. This time she had Lockwood and Ben with her — safety in numbers. She remembered telling the officer:

“I at least need you to acknowledge the fact that was a tiny iota insane. This is the SS, Dave is Hitler. I didn’t join this. I want nothing to do with this. My family will have my back.”

The officer told her:

“You need to go into confessional now and get your overts off.”

Lisa was not having that! She was done with Church mumbo jumbo:

“I told her ‘F**k you. You’re trying to shut me the f**k up and you’re not going to do it.’ She told me that I could leave. ‘Fine, I’m leaving. And when I walk out that door, you’re never seeing me again.’ As I stood up and walked out, she said she would let me know if they declared me. ‘I’ll let the whole world know if you do,’ I said.”

She says everything was civil. Scientology members helped her and her family pack, but not in a threatening way. She noted:

“But I’ve had PIs on me ever since.”

Lisa Marie Presley was in fact declared SP. She says that means the Church immediately started making up lies to spread about her:

“I’m a suppressive person, and I’m the reason my dad died and MJ died. That’s what’s being said inside Scientology.”

How the heck would she be the reason Elvis died? She was 9!!!

She went and talked to her mother and to eldest daughter Riley Keough, who had been part of the Church. She says she told Priscilla:

“Mom, I know you love doing your courses. But you’re going to have to have my f**king back.”

Thankfully they both listened. When she left the Church in 2014, she said, “They walked when I did.”

After that Lisa hired a “bad ass lawyer” who was able to get the police report about the private investigators who were following Ron. But she kept clear of it while it all surfaced. She stayed a silent partner in the war on Scientology. Why? She explained:

“The actual reason is, I have two nannies. They’re both Scientologists. My children are so in love with them. And I have a security executive guy who works with me, and he’s a Scientologist.”

She thought her young kids would be “destroyed” if they lost their nannies. She said:

“That’s the only thing holding me back. Believe me, when I want to go, I go.”

But she was still scared about what the Church might do to retaliate — or keep her quiet. She said about her old friend Dave:

“He gave me all that information about his family and then let me walk out? You have to be joking. I’m being followed. I don’t know what he’s going to do. He’s going to lose his s**t at some point.”

Asked if she thought Miscavige was scared of her, she replied:

“He should be. I have a hell of a lot of information on him.”

By now you’ve surely heard the shocking news that Elvis Presley’s daughter has passed away at just 54 years old after suffering cardiac arrest. Her mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed the tragedy to People in a Thursday statement, explaining:

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”

Her death came just two days after she appeared at the Golden Globes in support of Baz Luhrmann and Austin Butler’s Elvis biopic. The actor actually thanked the Presley family in his Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture speech:

“Thank you guys. Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie, Pricilla, I love you forever.”

While the star has yet to react to her shocking passing, other celebs have been sharing their support on social media as the harrowing news settles. Tom Hanks, who played Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis’ manager in the 2022 film, wrote on Instagram late Thursday night:

“We are heartbroken over the loss of Lisa Marie Presley. Absolutely broken… Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson”

John Travolta took to the photo sharing app to write:

On Monday, just as news of the Cheers alum’s death made headlines, the actor took to Instagram to reflect on the loss of his ex-wife, with whom he shared children True, 30, and Lillie, 28. Alongside a throwback photo of the couple, Parker expressed:

“Dear Kirstie, I am so grateful for our years together, and for the two incredibly beautiful children and now grandchildren that we have. You will be missed. With love, Parker”

Aw. So sweet.

If you didn’t know, Kirstie and Parker tied the knot in December 1983 after meeting in a bar, six years after she split from her first husband, Bob Alley. Things were not always smooth sailing for the couple, especially as they tried to get pregnant.

In her 2005 memoir, How to Lose Your Ass and Regain Your Life, the Summer School alum reflected on suffering a miscarriage when she was three months pregnant with her first child in 1990. She wrote:

“When the baby was gone, I just didn’t really get over it. Neither did my body. I so thoroughly convinced my body that it was still pregnant after nine months that I had milk coming from my breasts.”

How traumatic. Following this loss, the couple adopted their son True in 1992 and daughter Lillie in 1995. Unfortunately, their marriage didn’t last past 1997. In a 20/20 interview in 2012, while promoting her book, The Art of Men (I Prefer Mine al Dente), Alley admitted part of the problem was she fell in love with her co-stars Patrick Swayze and John Travolta while working on North and South and Look Who’s Talking, respectively. Despite her feelings, she never had an affair with either man and fought for her marriage, she revealed:

“​​Because I feel like when you marry someone you’re supposed to work hard at it, and you’re supposed to make it work.”

But ultimately, they were better off apart… The exes went through so much together, so we’re sure this was a tough loss for Parker.

The Baywatch star’s heartbreaking message (HERE) comes after Kirstie’s children confirmed she passed away on Monday night after a brief battle with cancer while surrounded by family. Her representative later told People she had been battling colon cancer. The Kirstie Alley’s Big Life stars wrote:

“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered. She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.”

They also expressed gratitude for the actress’ caregivers at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, where she was receiving treatment before her passing. The pair concluded their message by admiring the way the 71-year-old star lived her life, saying:

“Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.”

Such a beautiful tribute, and it shows how much they learned from their mother. The world got to know the now-adult children in the family’s reality TV show in 2010. At the time, Kirstie opened up about her viewpoint on parenting kids while in the spotlight, telling Yahoo:

“It’s 100 percent my responsibility to [release] them into the world with as much knowledge and survival tactics as I possibly can. Love is also key. No matter what they do, love them but don’t spoil them and make them into brats — that does them a great disservice. [My kids] aren’t going to be entitled or get anything they want in life; they’re going to earn it.”

Seems like they really valued Kirstie’s outlook on life and never took anything for granted. We are sending them lots of love as they process this immense loss.
