As we previously reported, Deanna Esmaeel was found dead in her home in California on Thursday morning. While very little details about the case are known, the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Deputy allegedly had been killed by her boyfriend. The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office announced they were searching for her partner Daniel James Walter, also known as Edward Patrick Davies, since he was the prime suspect in the case. When news of her tragic death broke, Marty took to Instagram on Friday to beg everyone to “contact the authorities” if they saw Walter around:

“This is the hardest post I’ll ever have to write but I found out from the sheriff department last night that my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing. The emotions I have are horrible right now between rage, vengance, crying. There is a nationwide manhunt underway, please if you’ve seen this man contact the authorities immediately!”

He then heartbreakingly expressed in the comments section:

“I just want my mom back”

We cannot imagine the pain he must be feeling right now. Our hearts just break for him. But thankfully, the manhunt for Walter is over now. The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office revealed on Facebook Friday night that he has been taken into custody in Curry County, Oregon – which is roughly 70 miles away (or two hours via a car) from the site of Deanna’s murder:

“The suspect was located and detained by Brookings PD and is in custody in Curry County, Oregon.”

People reported that the Curry County Jail’s online roster listed the murder suspect as Edward Patrick Davies, giving him an “unknown” release date. His offense was also listed as a “FUGITIVE FROM OTHER STATE.” Marty has since reacted to Davis’ arrest, saying on Instagram Stories Saturday:

“I want to thank everyone my friends, the media outlets, the human piece of trash was caught late last night.”

We adore Marty. So we’re devastated this is the story we’re writing about the former child star.

In a shocking report on TMZ, it was revealed Marty’s mother has been murdered. Deanna Esmaeel was killed in her own home — apparently by a man she had been seeing. The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office, where Deanna worked as a sheriff’s deputy, put out an alert Friday in hopes of tracking down Daniel James Walter, also known as Edward Patrick Davies. Walter (or Davies) was Deanna’s boyfriend and is the prime suspect in the murder.

Marty confirmed all this in an emotional Instagram post on Friday afternoon. He wrote:

“This is the hardest post I’ll ever have to write but I found out from the sheriff department last night that my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing. The emotions I have are horrible right now between rage, vengance, crying.”

Our hearts are broken for him…

He added, included the full BOLO flyer for Davies:

“There is a nationwide manhunt underway, please if you’ve seen this man contact the authorities immediately!”

So sad. Marty was obviously so proud of his mom and her accomplishment fulfilling her dream of becoming a deputy. For it to end like this, not even on the job… Just tragic.

“I’m not going to sit here & lie and say it’s easy to keep pushing, it’s [sic] gets very challenging especially when they don’t know you, I feel very misunderstood!”

So very wise. But, also, it’s just the universal experience for every 17-year-old to be misunderstood! LOLz!

Obviously, we were all taken aback when Will Smith stormed the stage and slapped the s**t outta host Chris Rock after he made a joke about the Red Table Talk star’s shaved head during the awards ceremony last year. But Jada was having a whole different set of emotions. And it all revolved around what Will said during the heated moment.

Chatting with Hoda Kotb in an NBC News primetime special, which will air in full on Friday night, the actress recalled how her baby daddy yelled after the slap, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth.” This, at least for her, was the biggest surprise of the evening. She dished:

“First of all, I’m really shocked, because mind you, I’m not there. We haven’t called each other husband and wife in a long time. I’m like, ‘What is going on right now? Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth?’ I’m really worried for Will because I don’t know what’s going on.”

That’s why she was “shocked”?! Not the violence?? Okay, gurl. LOLz!

TBH, this really wasn’t a weird thing to say at all — at least from the public’s POV. On Wednesday night, the 42-year-old actress gave a speech at the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery Visionary Ball — and surprisingly revealed she had a health scare last year. Since her mother and her grandmother both suffered from dementia, she decided not to take any chances — and got a full body MRI five years ago.

The Hilarity for Charity co-founder said she wanted “to take a deeper look at anything that could possibly be lurking inside me that would affect my longevity.” And it’s a good thing she took the precaution because doctors ended up finding an aneurysm in her brain! She explained:

“They found, of course, this sort of aneurysm in my head. So of course, this was terrifying information, and made me think of my great-grandmother, whose fate I certainly didn’t want to mimic.”

The situation, albeit terrifying, wasn’t urgent at the time, so she continued on with regular checkups to monitor the situation closely. And one day everything came to a head, so to speak:

“Fortunately, it was relatively small, and I did what the doctors recommended that I do, which is have annual MRIs [to] track the size. It remained small, until it didn’t.”

Four years after they discovered the aneurysm, in spring 2022, the aneurysm started to grow. It was at this point her neurosurgeon Geoffrey Colby recommended she get surgery right away to remove it. So scary! Luckily, Dr. Colby made her feel very “comfortable” about everything and “answered every single question” she had ahead of the procedure.

Lauren went under the knife to get the aneurysm removed, and the operation was a success! She also said she’s been getting regular checkups since then to ensure she’s as good as new:

“I’m truly endlessly grateful to Dr. Colby, his entire team, and the entire staff at UCLA who guided us through this scary experience that I’m truly grateful to have overcome.”

She ended her speech with an extremely powerful statement, saying:

“I’m truly thankful that I won’t be dying at this dinner table or any others anytime soon.”

We’re so glad to hear Lauren is doing okay and her surgery was successful. What a horrifying situation to go through, and she handled it so well — her strength is truly admirable.

For those who don’t recall, the 34-year-old former yoga instructor from Austin, Texas, allegedly fatally shot 25-year-old Moriah “Mo” Wilson in May 2022. Law enforcement believe the professional cyclist had been involved with Armstrong’s boyfriend, Colin Strickland. When the suspect found out the two went swimming together one day, she allegedly killed Mo in a “jealous rage.” Police brought her in for questioning afterward. However, they did not arrest her at the time.

Instead of waiting around to see what authorities did next, Armstrong booked it. She escaped the state and eventually the country, sparking a six-week-long manhunt. The yogi, sporting a whole new appearance due to cosmetic surgery, was eventually captured in Costa Rica on June 29 and arrested on first-degree murder charges. Armstrong has since pleaded not guilty, and her trial is scheduled to begin on October 30.

Before the fitness instructor heads to court, though, she decided to try fleeing once again. And she was SUCCESSFUL! We’re not kidding.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, two deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office had taken Kailin to a doctor in South Austin on Wednesday. When the appointment ended shortly after 8 a.m., officers escorted her to a patrol unit to take her back to the Travis County Correctional Complex. But Armstrong had other plans in mind. She suddenly bolted from the cops and went on the run! There is even a video of her fleeing and trying to scale a fence to get away from the police!!

Fortunately, she was only out of custody briefly. Armstrong got about a block down the road before officers found and detained her again. The sheriff’s office insisted that the accused murderer had been in the deputies’ eyesight the entire time she was out of custody.

Hmm… You would think that given her history of running from the authorities, they would have had a good eye (and hold) on her to begin with so this sort of situation didn’t happen again! As Armstrong evaded the authorities for 43 days in the past, she likely could do it again if she had the opportunity. And clearly, she was trying to make it happen here!

Following her arrest, she was transported to the Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. KXAN reported that Armstrong now could face additional charges for escaping.

According to People, the 40-year-old comedian was taken into custody and charged with a DUI and fleeing the scene of a traffic collision on Sunday. Sgt. Stephen Turner explained that officers from the Burbank Police Department in California responded to a single vehicle collision around 9:30 a.m. that day. When authorities arrived at the scene, eyewitnesses told them the driver crashed his vehicle into a tree before fleeing from the area on foot:

“Witnesses relayed the driver of a white Tesla collided with a tree and the driver fled on foot. Based on witness description, the driver was located just a few blocks east of the scene and detained pending [an] investigation.”

Thankfully, Turner noted “no other vehicles were involved, and nobody was injured.” After speaking with the witness and Jeff, cops decided to arrest the television personality at 9:56 a.m. He was booked into the Burbank Jail about an hour later before being released without bail at 1:04 p.m.

While the Who the BLEEP Is That? host hasn’t publicly spoken out about the accident, his attorney, Andrew B. Leventhal, told the outlet:

“Although no one was injured, this is a traumatic event for Jeff. We ask that you reserve judgment and respect his privacy as I take care of this matter. He is presumed innocent.”

A traumatic event for Jeff. Huh. Well, thankfully it was a tree and not some innocent person he hit.

Hmm. Meanwhile, a source shared that those close to Jeff are “concerned for him and hope he gets the help he needs” now. Wow. If he’s truly struggling, we hope this accident ends up being a wake-up call for him to get some help.
